PDU30, inakusahan ang Senado na sangkot sa ‘fishing expedition’

MULING binatikos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang mga senador lalo na si Senate Blue Ribbon Committee chairman Richard Gordon, dahil sa halatadong pag-witch hunt para makakuha ng ganansiya sa politika.

Sa mga bagong bira ng Pangulo laban kay Gordon, inulit ng Chief Executive ang kanyang akusasyon laban kay Gordon na ginagamit ang kanyang posisyon para kanyang kapakinabangan sa politika.

“Sabihin mo kung ano ang kulang para malaman namin. Ngayon kung mayroon kang nakita, ilabas mo na para malaman namin kung ano ‘yan. And because you cannot find any overpricing, or it’s because a witch hunt, a fishing expedition, or a political circus. Na kunwari sa panahon na ito, ikaw ang graft buster. Ikaw ang naghahanap ng katiwalian sa gobyerno,” ayon sa Pangulo sa kanyang Talk to the People, araw ng Lunes.

“Is the ongoing inquiry truly in aid of legislation, or is it for political purposes? The simple fact is that the Blue Ribbon Committee has failed to produce anything to prove its accusation of corruption,” dagdag na pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte.

Matatandaang, nauna nang binanatan ni Duterte si Gordon sa gitna ng imbestigasyon ng senate blue ribbon committee sa mga diumano’y korapsyon na nangyayari sa kasalukuyang administrasyon.

Sa kanyang “Talk to the People” tinanong ni Duterte si Gordon kung bakit nga ba libre ang nakukuhang dugo ng Philippine Red Cross na pinamumunuan ng senador ngunit may bayad na ito pag kinailangan na ng mga tao.

Naniniwala ang Pangulo na may nangyayaring korapsyon sa Red Cross sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Gordon.

“May I remind the good senator, that alam mo yung corruption mo dyan sa Red Cross, buhay ang nilalaro mo dyan. As a matter ang kapital mo nga, dugo. Hindi ka na nahiya dyan?

“Mahilig kayong magpa-bloodletting. Isang batalyon na pulis, isang batalyon na army. Tapos ang mga tao dyan kung kailangan, bumili. Ang mahirap dyan o mayaman, gusto ng dugo sa Red Cross, nagbabayad!

“Eh saan naman yung mga dugo na kinuha mo dyan sa mga sundalo pati pulis pati sibilyan? I’m just trying to reconcile… Magbayad ka maski mahirap ka.” ani Duterte.

Sinabi din ng Pangulo na kakausapin niya si ‘Dracula’ ang sikat na sikat na bampira para kunin ang dugo ng Senador.

Matagal ng kwestiyon ng mga tao ang paniningil ng Red Cross sa dugo.

Sinagot naman ito ng isa sa mga trabahador ng nasabing organisasyon at sinabi na ginagastusan ng Red Cross ang ilang test para masigurado na ligtas ang dugo na isasalin sa pasyente.

Magugunitang hiniling ng Pangulo sa Commission on Audit (COA) na imbestigahan ang Red Cross dahil sa diumano’y korapsyon na nangyayari sa organisasyon. (Daris Jose)

MPTC mamumuhunan ng P2B upang pagdugtungin ang CAVITEX, CALAX

Maglalaan ang Metro Pacific Tollways Corp. (MPTC) ng P2 billion upang pagdugtungin ang Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX) at Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX).

Ito ang pahayag ni Roberto Bontia, president at general manager ng MPTC-unit ng Cavitex Infrastructure Corp. (CIC), sa isang virtual briefing na ginanap. Sinabi rin ni Bontia na ang construction ng isang (1) kilometrong connector ay maaaring simulan sa ngayon huling taon o di kaya ay maaga sa susunod ng taon.

Itatayo ang nasabing connector dahil sa inaasahang pagtatapos ng construction ng 45-km na CALAX sa taong 2023.

“What is definite in terms of extension of CAVITEX is our connection to CALAX. We call that the Segment 4 extension, which will connect Kawit to the last interchange of CALAX. That will be roughly one kilometer of elevated toll road that will connect CAVITEX and CALAX. That’s one definite project we are going to undertake, hopefully late this year or early next year,” wika ni Bontia.

Samantala, ang CIC kasama sa isang joint venture ang Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) ay patuloy ang ginagawang completion ng CAVITEX C5 Link project.

Ang CAVITEX C5 Link ay ang 7.7- kilometer na 2×3 expressway na magdudugtong sa CAVITEX R1 papuntang C5 Road sa Taguig. Ang nakalaang pondo dito ay P15 billion para sa Segments 2 at 3.

“Since 2019, C5 Link segment 3A-1 connecting Merville to C5 Road has been operational, while constructions of Segment 3A-2 stretching from E. Rodriguez to Merville, and Segment 2 from CAVITEX R1 Interchange to Sucat Interchange are underway,” saad ni Bontia.

Ang construction progress ng Segment 3A-2 ay 30 percent at inaasahang matatapos sa unang quarter ng darating na taon. Habang ang Segment 2 naman ay may 17 percent na construction progress at matatapos sa fourth quarter ng 2022.

Samantala ang construction ng Segment 3B mula Sucat hanggang E. Rodriguez ay inaasahang matatapos sa unang quarter ng susunod na taon.

Kapag natapos na ang CAVITEX C5 Link, ito ay makakabawas ng travel time mula CAVITEX papuntang Taguig at Makati ng hanggang 30 at 45 minutes. Ang nasabing link ay inaasahang din na mabibigyan ng benepisyo ang may 50,000 na motorista lalo na yoon mangangaling mula sa Taguig, Makati, Las Pinas at Pasay. LASACMAR

‘The Flash’ director Andy Muschietti Provides a New Look at Michael Keaton’s Batman costume with Familiar Lighting Bolt

A new image from The Flash gives Michael Keaton’s Batman suit a fitting Barry Allen twist.

The DCEU’s solo Flash movie has been in the works for years ever since Ezra Miller joined the franchise as Barry Allen. However, due to various creative issues, the film has been pushed back multiple times. At long last, though, The Flash began production earlier this year with It director Andy Muschietti at the helm. The movie is currently expected to open in theaters in November 2022, and it holds a very exciting supporting cast.

As The Flash is adapting the famous Flashpoint storyline from the comics, the film will feature additional DC heroes beyond Barry. This includes Supergirl (played by Sasha Calle) and two versions of Batman: Michael Keaton’s and Ben Affleck’s. Keaton’s return in The Flash was announced last year and ignited a tidal wave of excitement among fans. He’ll be an older Bruce Wayne than audiences are perhaps used to, but he will still don the cape and cowl.

Muschietti has provided various teases and peeks at Keaton’s costume over the course of filming, and his latest has a unique twist. On Sunday, Muschietti posted another picture of Keaton’s Batman suit, but this time, it’s been spray-painted over with the Flash’s signature red coloring and lightning bolt symbol. Check it out below.

It remains to be seen if this is a direct image from The Flash itself, though it seems unlikely. If anything, it almost suggests that Keaton’s Batman suit could be refitted for Barry in the future, but the overall message appears more thematic. As far as promotional images go, this is a pretty great one. The combination of the Batman and Flash symbols tease the heroes’ upcoming team-up and suggest they will be a formidable pair.

It also seems to send the message that, while The Flash is definitely Barry’s story, Batman will play a large role in it. It could even hint that Batman is becoming a bigger talking point for the movie, though with Keaton involved, that was likely always bound to happen.

Keaton is widely regarded as one of the best (if not the best) onscreen Batman actors, and as he hasn’t played the character since 1992’s Batman Returns, there’s a great deal of anticipation surrounding his DCEU debut. Plus, Keaton himself has been very open about his enthusiasm for The Flash and Batman’s role within it, which bodes well for the entire project. He has yet to be seen in his Batsuit, but when considering how many teases Muschietti has provided, it wouldn’t be surprising if the director decides to reveal Keaton’s full Batman look well before The Flash arrives.

NAG-POST ang premyadong Kapuso actress na si Aiko Melendez ng kanyang saloobin at panawagan na rin sa lahat na palaging nagpa-deliver online.

Sa official Facebook page niya, may pakiusap siya na sana mas maging mabait at maunawain tayo sa mga riders, lalo na sa panahon ng pandemya.

Aminado naman si Aiko na palagi siyang nagpapa-deliver ng foods at iba pang supplies para sa bahay sa pamamagitan nga ng online delivery apps.

May mga pagkakataon din na tulad ng naranasan ng marami na hindi siya satisfied sa idineliver pero never daw siyang nang-away o nag-report ng mga delivery riders.

Panimula ng aktres, “Madalas akong magpadeliver sa mga delivery food apps, Like Grab, Lalamove, Toktok at iba pa…

“Minsan me mga deliveries sila sa akin na di ako satisfied. Pero hindi ako aabot sa oras na icall out ko pa sila. Kasi kung tutuusin unti lang naman ang kinikita nila. Dito pumapasok ung pabayaan nyo nalang ang mga maliit na

bagay.”

Pagpapatuloy pa ni Aiko, “Lalo na kapag mas nakakaluwag tayo than them diba.

Nahaharap tayo sa isang situation na di naten lahat gusto, Yan ang pandemya.

Marami naman ang sumangayon sa pananaw na ito ni Aiko, kaya sana maghinay- hinay tayo sa pag-i-estima sa mga delivery riders na sa totoo lang malaking tulong sa atin.

Anyway, sa latest post ni Aiko na soon ay mapapanod uli sa book 2 ng Prima Donnas ng GMA-7, patuloy siyang nagpapaalala sa mga tao na mas maging maging sa para hindi mahawa sa COVID-19 nag-alay din ng panalangin.

BAGONG KASO NG DELTA VARIANT NATUKOY

KINUMPIRA ni Health Usec Maria Rosario Vergeire na 319 bagong kaso pa ng Delta variant ang natukoy sa pinakahuling genome sequencing na ginawa ng Philippine Genome Center nitong September 18.

Bukod dito nakapagtala rin ng 13 na bagong kaso ng Alpha variant at 9 na bagong kaso ng Beta variant

Ayon kay Vergeire,. may pinakamaraming naitala na kaso ng Delta variant ay sa Region 2 na umabot sa 40.

Sa CARAGA ay mayroong 31 habang 26 sa Region 4A at 24 kaso ng Delta variant naman ang nakita sa National Capital Region (NCR)

Ang P.3 variant na natukoy sa Pilipinas ay may natuklasan ding limang bagong kaso sa genome sequencing ng PGC.

Kinumpirma ni Vergeire na lahat ng rehiyon sa bansa ay mayroon nang P.3 variant. GENE ADSUARA

Marawi infra projects, 80% kompleto na-TFBM

SINABI ng Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) na 80-percent complete na ang government-led rehabilitation efforts sa Marawi City.

Ito’y sa kabila ng hamon sa krisis sa kalusugan at masamang panahon.

Tiniyak ni TFBM chairperson and housing czar Secretary Eduardo Del Rosario na matatapos ang lahat ng infrastructure projects ayon sa “timeline of completion.”

“For all the public infrastructures na ginagawa natin , we are now 75 percent to 80 percent complete and all the rest will be completed by next year,” ayon kay Del Rosario.

Siniguro rin nito na ang master development plan sa Marawi ay matatapos sa loob ng termino ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

“All projects will be completed by June 30 of 2022 within the term of the President as promised,” pagtiyak ni del Rosario.

“The newly inaugurated two mosques and four village complexes in Marawi City are “solid testament(s) that the TFBM’s efforts are moving forward,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Pryoridad aniya ng TFBM na muling itayo ang mga mosque, na makatutulong sa mga siege-affected residents na makabangon mula sa “distressing effect of the war”.

Sa kabilang dako, inanunsyo naman ni Del Rosario na may 2,800 permanent housing units ang itinatayo ng 56 implementing agencies at TFBM’s partner organizations ang matatapos bago matapos ang taon.

Mahigit 600 permanent shelters naman ang kompleto na kung saan 300 naman ang inookupahan na ng mga residenteng inilikas dahil sa 2017 siege sa pagitan ng puwersang pamahalaan at mga teroristang may kaugnayan sa ISIS.

Kabilang naman sa mga “completed infrastructure projects”sa labas ng most affected areas (MAA) ng Marawi ay ang 19-kilometer Transcentral Roads; Lilod Guimba, Banggolo, at Mapandi bridges; Central Fire Station Phase 1; fully-equipped Rorogagus Health Station; at pagsasa-ayos ng road networks sa Pantar-Marawi at Maul, Maranto.

Napanatili naman ng pamahalaan ang livelihood programs para sa mga residente at patuloy na nagbibigay ng kahalintulad na tulong.

Natapos na rin ng TFBM ang ilang proyekto sa MAA gaya ng Disomangcop Mosque, Masjid Darussalam, at ang Tolali Barangay Complex na may health station at madrasah (Islamic school).

Samantala, sinabi naman ni Del Rosario na ang nagpapatuloy na pagtatayo ng permanent shelters sa iba’t ibang resettlement sites, at maging ang pagtatatag ng road networks sa loob ng MAA na mayroong underground utilities, solar lamps, at traffic lights, ay kasalukuyan ng nasa “final stages of completion.”

Ang pagtatayo ng three-story 20-classroom school buildings, mall-like Grand Padian Market, School of Living Tradition, Peace Memorial Park, Marawi Museum, Marawi Convention Center, ay Sarimanok Stadium ay malapit na ring matapos.

Ang TFBM ay nilikha sa ilalim ng Administrative Order 3 na ipinalabas ni Pangulong Duterte noong Hunyo 28, 2017, kasunod ng deklarasyon ng pamahalaan ng pagkapanalo nito laban sa terrorist groups.

Minadali ng task force ang ‘rehabilitation, recovery at reconstruction efforts” at tinulungan ang mga displaced families na makabangon. (Daris Jose)

Limited face to face classes aprubado na ni PDU30

INAPRUBAHAN na ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang pagsasagawa ng pilot face to face classes.

Sa regular press briefing ni Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque ay inanunsiyo ni DEPED secretary Leonor Briones ang gagawing pagsisimula ng face to face classess.

Limitado lamang muna ito sa 100 paaralan.

Base sa guidelines , maisasagawa lamang ang pilot face to face kung papasa sa safety assessment ng DEPED ang area kung saan gagawin ang klase.

Kailangan din ainiya na may pahintulot mula sa LGU habang kailangan din ng written consent mula sa mga magulang ng mga estudayanteng lalahok sa face to face classess.

Sinabi ng Kalihim na magiging limitado ang kapasidad ng mga estudyante para sa naturang set up.

Sa Kindergarten ay tanging 12 learners lamang ang lalahok sa face to face habang ang nasa Grade 1 to 3 ay kailangang nasa 16 lamang at ang mga nasa hanay naman ng technical o vocational learners ay lilimitan sa 20.

Inaasahang sisimulan ang pilot testing ng face to face classess “in 2 months’ time.” (Daris Jose)

Pinas, ni-renew ang commitment sa international community

NI-RENEW ng Pilipinas ang commitment nito sa international community na i- adopt ang anticipatory action para mapigilan o mapagaan ang potential disaster impacts bago pa mangyari ang krisis.

“We’ve gained the wisdom that predicting, preventing and mitigating the shock and impact of a disaster are key to risk reduction and management,” ayon kay Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. sa virtual high-level humanitarian event na “Anticipatory Action: A Commitment to Act Before Crises” noong Setyembre 9, 2021.

Ang Anticipatory action ay “set of actions taken to prevent or mitigate potential disaster impacts before a shock or before acute impacts are felt. It is carried out in anticipation of a shock, based on a prediction of how the event will unfold.”

Ang anticipatory action event ay idinaos bago pa ang United Nations climate change conference o COP26 (Conference of the Parties) sa Glasgow na nakatakda sa susunod na buwan, kinilala ang lumalaking epekto ng climate change sa “severity and frequency of disasters.”

Sa kanyang naging mensahe, ipinaliwanag ng Kalihim na kumikilos ang Philippine Development Plan (PDP) at National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (NDRRMP) pagdating sa “data sharing, creation of command systems and emergency operation centers at national and local levels.”

Ang mahalaga sa lahat ng ito ayon kay Locsin ay ang collective effort ng mga Filipinos, gobyerno at publiko.

” Philippines developed the HunterHazard app to provide land developers risk information and assessment of a particular area and the establishment of the Philippine Space Agency to strengthen hazard monitoring and forecasting through earth observation through satellite sensing,” aniya pa rin.

“Since 2015, the Philippines have been working with the Philippine Red Cross, the UN World Food Programme, the Food and Agriculture Organization, and other stakeholders to build capacity,” dagdag na pahayag ng Kalihim.

Idnagdag pa nito na ang PIlipinas ay isang active supporter ng UN Central Emergency Fund (CERF) at hangad na maging pilot country kasama ang CERF sa proyekto nito ukol sa anticipatory action sa mga bagyo.

Ang UN at gobyerno ng Germany at United Kingdom ay nagpulong sa Anticipatory Event 2021 “to advance anticipatory action and galvanize a collective push to act ahead of crises.”

Coronation night ng Miss Universe PH 2021 sa September 25, hindi matutuloy; YBONNE ORTEGA, COVID-positive kaya 28 na lang ang candidates

HINDI matutuloy sa September 25 ang coronation night ng Miss Universe Philippines 2021.

Sa kanilang Facebook page, hinihintay na lang daw ng MUP organization ang final approval mula sa IATF para maging maayos ang ligtas ang pag-stage ng kanilang coronation night.

Naka-lock-in sa pageant bubble sa Clark, Pampangan ang Top 30 candidates ng MUP 2021. Pero ngayon ay 28 na lamang sila dahil ang Zambales representative na si Joanna Maria Rabe ay nag-withdraw sa competition dahil sa sakit na dengue. Ang representative naman ng Davao City na si Ybonne Ortega ay tested positive for COVID-19.

The winner of this year’s MUP will represent the country in the Miss Universe pageant to be held in Israel in December.
