Para itigil na ang kanilang hidwaan: K, emosyonal na nakiusap sa tiyahin na tumayong ina-inahan

EMOSYONAL na nakiusap si K Brosas sa kanyang tiyahin, na tumayo niya ring ina-inahan, na itigil na nila ang kanilang hidwaan.

Sa “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” nitong Miyerkoles, tinanong ni Tito Boy si K kung napatawad na niya ang kaniyang tiyahin.

“Yes. Matagal na. Ang tagal naming hindi nag-usap eh,” sagot ni K.

Gayunman, nanawagan si K sa tiyahin na tapusin na nila ang kanilang hidwaan.

“Sana tama na, ‘Ma tama na, itigil na natin ito. Tama na please. Kasi ilang beses na tayong nag-ayos. Tama na po,” sabi ni K, na hindi napigilan ang kaniyang pag-iyak.

“Kasi eighty years old na po ‘yung mama kong nagpalaki sa akin. Lagi kong sinasabi na malaki ang utang na loob ko, alam niyo (Tito Boy) po ‘yung kuwento, hindi ko ipinagkakait ‘yon. Malaki ang utang na loob ko, I will be eternally grateful,” saad ni K.

“Pero sana tama na, tama na ‘yung sumbat. Gusto ko lang naman marinig ko na, ‘I’m proud of you. Proud ako sa pagpapalaki sa anak mo, sa buong pamilya mo.’ Sana don’t take this the wrong way, pero tama na,” patuloy niya.

Ayon kay K, hinahanap-hanap niya rin ang pagiging proud sa kaniya ng kaniyang ina-inahan.

“Gusto kong ma-recognize nila na ‘Nakaka-proud pala ‘yung narating ng anak ng kapatid ko, ng pamangkin ko.’ Hindi ko kasi narinig ‘yun eh ng very light,” paglalahad ng singer-TV host.

Pasahe sa MRT 3 nakaambang tumaas

NAKAAMBANG na tumaas ang pamasahe sa Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3) kapag pinayagan ang muling inihain na petisyon sa Department of Transportation (DOTr).

Ayon sa pamunuan ng MRT3 ay kanilang gagamitin ang karagdagang pasahe sa pagpapalakas ng kapital para sa operasyon at pagmimintahi ng nasabing railway. Inihain ang petisyon sa Rail Regulatory Unit ng DOTr noong nakaraang linggo.

“MRT 3 management made another push to increase train fares after its previous petition was denied due to its failure to issue a public notice on time,” wika ni DOTr undersecretary Cesar Chavez.

Sinabi naman ni DOTr assistant secretary Jorjette Aquino na ang MRT 3 ay humihingi ng katulad ng taas pasahe na inaprobahan ng DOTR noong nakaraang April para sa Light Rail Transit Lines 1& 2.

Ang hinihingi ng MRT 3 ay maging P13.29 ang boarding fare mula sa dating P11 habang ang distance fare naman ay P1.21 mula sa dating P1 kada kilometro.

Kapag naaprobahan, ang minimum na pasahe para sa MRT 3 ay tataas mula P13 hanggang P16 habang ang maximum na pasahe ay tataas ng hanggang P34 mula sa dating P28. May walong taon na ang nakakaraan ng huling magtaas ng pamasahe ang MRT 3.

Dahil sa subsidy ng pamahalaan, ang isang pasahero ay nagbabayad lamang ng P30 na dapat sana ay P178 mula Recto hanggang Antipolo para sa LRT 2 kung kayat lumalabas na ang subsidy ay P148 kapag dulo sa dulo.

Sisimulan ang pagtataas ng pamasahe sa LRT Lines 1 & 2 sa darating na August 2023 kung saan gagamitin din ang karagdagang pamasahe sa pagpapalakas ng operasyon at pagmimintahi ng nasabing dalawang railways. LASACMAR

Pamamahagi ng ukay-ukay at feeding program sa Barangay Lawang-Bato, Valenzuela City

PINANGUNAHAN ni Kapitan Romy Acuña ng Barangay Lawang-Bato, Valenzuela City at ng kanyang may bahay na si Kapitana Vergie Acuña, kasama ang buong konseho nito ang pamamahagi ng tinaguriang ukay-ukay na handog sa mga residente ng nasabing barangay “Agapay na walang kapalit na hinihintay” kung saan umabot sa 547 ang benepisyaryo na sinundan ng feeding program.

“Hindi man bongga, hangad lang namin magpaabot ng tulong sa ating mga kabarangay,” maikling pahayag ng Team Acuña.

Wala naman pagsidlan ng galak ang mga residente ng naturang barangay sa anila’y handog na walang hinihintay na kapalit.

“Sana lahat ng uupo sa pamahalaan sa darating na halalan tumulong sa nasasakupan ng bukal sa kalooban, dangan naman kasi sa mga nakalipas na panahon nakakalimuran na kami pagkatapos ng halalan.” anila. (Richard Mesa)

DPWH at Japanese experts, winakasan na ang talakayan sa panukalang P37-B road project

TINAPOS na ng mga opisyal ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at mga Japanese expert ang kanilang isang linggong talakayan para sa panukalang P37 billion Dalton Pass East Alignment Road Project sa northern Luzon.

Ang iminungkahing proyekto ay isang four-lane na 23.5-kilometer na kalsada na magpapagaan sa matinding trapiko at magbibigay ng alternatibong ruta na nagkokonekta sa Tayabo, San Jose, Nueva Ecija hanggang Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya.

Ang Dalton Pass East East Alignment Road ay nakalista sa mga na-upgrade na NEDA Infrastructure Flagship Projects alinsunod sa patakarang “Build Better More” ng administrasyong Marcos.

Dagdag dito, ang iminungkahing proyekto, na nasa ilalim ng klasipikasyon ng DPWH High Standard Highway Master Plan bilang High Standard Highway Road, ay magsasama ng isang twin-tube long-distance tunnel at sampung tulay.

Isinasaalang-alang din ito para sa aplikasyon sa ilalim ng Special Terms for Economic Partnership (STEP) Loan upang matiyak ang kahusayan at kaligtasan ng konstruksiyon pati na rin ang sapat at wastong operasyon at pagpapanatili kapag ito ay kumpleto na.

Partikular na gagamitin ng Japan ang mga teknolohiya at karanasan nito sa larangan ng paghuhukay ng mountain tunnel at mga diskarte sa pagtatayo ng nasabing proyekto. (Daris Jose)

INDIAN CREW MEMBER, TINULUNGAN NG PCG

KINAKAILANGAN na idi-embark at tulungan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang isang Indian crew member ng bulk carrier mula sa isang international vessel matapos maaksidente habang naglalayag sa katubigan ng Pilipinas.

Ayon sa PCG, nagsagawa ang coast guard ng medical evaluation sa MV Formento Two sa may 8.3 nautical miles southeast ng Virac ,Catanduanes kahapon dahil sa tinamong severe injury at labis na pagdurugo ng daliri ng isang bosun crew.

Ang nasabing barko ay isang Singaporean-registered bulk carrier, na umalis sa Baoshan Port sa China, patungong Port Hedland sa Australia, nang mangyari ang insidente.

Agad na nakipag-ugnayan ang PCG sa kapitan ng barko at local agent upang magsagawa ng medical evacuation sa Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

Inabisuhan din ng local agent ang Bureau of Immigration (BOI) at Bureau of Customs (BOC) tungkol sa medical evacuation.

AMINADONG kinilig si Sparkle actress Bianca Umali sa sweet gesture ng kanyang boyfriend at kapwa Kapuso actor na si Ruru Madrid nang sorpresahin siya nito.

Sa post ni Bianca sa Instagram account niya, sinabi niyang nagsinungaling man si Ruru sa kanya, “it was one of the sweetest moments of my life.”

“After working far far away for how many days – I’ve been missing my person so bad and we weren’t sure when we would see each other again because of our schedules,” kwento ni Bianca.

Ayon pa raw sa aktor ay nasa set na ito at nagre-ready na para sa taping kaya laking gulat niya ng sunduin siya ni Ruru sa airport.

“I was expecting my driver to pick me up (shoutout to kuya Leo na nag-effort to act sa phone na nasa airport na daw siya and asking me kung anong bay daw ako susunduin HAHA kasabwat) but NOPE. Ang sumundo – MY driver sweet lover pala kiliiigzzz,” sabi ng aktres sa caption.

Bukod pa sa pagsundo niya sa aktres ay may dala rin bouquet of roses si Ruru para sa kanyang girlfriend.

“You didn’t have to, but thank you @rurumadrid8 na pawi lahat ng pagod ko. MNMK!!!” pagtatapos nito sa post.

Naghahanda ngayon si Bianca para sa pelikula nila ng National Artist at Superstar Nora Aunor nakatakdang kunan sa Siquijor.

Samantala, magbabalik naman si Ruru sa isang action-drama series na ‘Black Rider’ kung saan gaganap siya bilang isang motorcycle delivery rider na haharap sa isang sindikato.

Emmanuel Ledesma Jr. itinalaga bilang PhilHealth chief

ITINALAGA ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. si Emmanuel Rufino Ledesma Jr. bilang pangulo at chief executive officer (CEO) ng Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).

Ang pagtatalaga kay Ledesma ay inanunsyo ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) sa isang Facebook post.

Si Ledesma ay magsisilbi rin bilang miyembro ng expert panel at board of directors ng PhilHealth.

Nobyembre 2022, itinalaga si Ledesma bilang acting PhilHealth chief.

Si Ledesma ay naging pangulo at CEO ng Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM).

Ang PhilHealth ay may mandato na pangasiwaan ang National Health Insurance Program na naglalayong magbigay ng health insurance coverage at tiyakin na “affordable, acceptable, available at accessible healthcare services” para sa lahat ng mga Filipino.

Samantala, itinalaga naman ng Pangulo si Col. Jose Luntok bilang commander ng Light Reaction Regiment, ang premier counter-terrorist unit ng Philippine Army.

Inanunsyo rin ng PCO ang pagkakatalaga kina Khay Ann Magundayao-Borlado bilang deputy executive director ng Philippine Commission on Women (PCW).

Ang PCW ay primary policymaking at coordinating body hinggil sa kababaihan at gender equality concerns.

“It continues to build upon the past efforts and achievements in advancing the status of women and acts as a catalyst for gender mainstreaming, the authority on women’s concerns, and advocates for women’s empowerment, gender equity and gender equality,” ayon sa ulat.

Itinalaga rin ni Pangulong Marcos si David Erro bilang miyembro ng Land Bank of the Philippines’ Board of Directors, kumakatawan sa agrarian reform beneficiaries.

Base sa bagong listahan ng presidential appointees, ang Director III post ay ibinigay kay Mathias Malenab (Department of Public Works and Highways), Bonifacio Pajuelas (Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration), at Reinalyne Varias (Department of Justice’s Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution).

“INSIDIOUS: THE RED DOOR” SCARES UP FIERY P33.1M GROSS, BIGGEST 2023 OPENING DAY, BIGGEST ALL TIME HORROR OPENING DAY IN PH

MANILA, July 6, 2023 – Philippine horror fans flocked to Insidious: The Red Door on its opening day July 5 including unprecedented sold-out midnight screenings, scaring up a record-breaking P33,141,456 opening day gross.

This is the biggest opening day box office take for a theatrical release so far this year, remarkably outgrossing the first-day numbers of superhero blockbusters and epic action adventures, such as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, John Wick: Chapter 4, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Fast X, The Little Mermaid, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

The opening day performance of Insidious: The Red Door, the latest and final installment in the fan-favorite franchise, also broke the record for biggest horror opening day of all time in the Philippines, besting the Day 1 numbers of the previously released Insidious films, as well as The Conjuring, IT and The Orphan movies, The Nun, Annabelle: Creation and local titles Deleter and Feng Shui.

PBBM, nagbabala ng panganib sa poultry, livestock; hinikayat ang publiko na maging bigilante

SINABI ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., na nananatiling may panganib sa poultry at livestock sa kabila ng development sa bakuna laban sa animal viral diseases.

Ayon sa Pangulo, kailangang tingnan ng gobyerno ang usaping ito.

Sa pagsasalita ng Pangulo sa pagbubukas ng Livestock Philippines 2023, araw ng Miyerkules, Hulyo 5, binigyang diin ni Pangulong Marcos ang pangangailangan na tuklasin at pigilan ang paglaganap ng mga animal diseases gaya ng African swine fever (ASF) at avian influenza.

Inanunsyo ng Pangulo ang pagkumpleto ng phase one ng ligtas at epektibong pagsubok para sa ASF vaccines.

Sinabi nito na natuklasan ng Bureau of Animal Industry na mag-produce ng sapat na antibodies at maging ligtas kapag ginamit.

Idinagdag pa nito na ang Philippine Food and Drug Administration “is on track to issue a certificate of product registration for these vaccines while phase two trials are underway.”

Ang Pangulo, kasalukuyang Agriculture secretary ay nagpahayag na may progreso ang ginagawa ng pamahalaan pagdating sa pagbili ng Avian Influenza vaccines.

Gayunman, pinaalalahanan nito ang gobyerno na huwag maging kampante hinggil sa availability ng mga bakuna.

“This gives us great hope as we have been waiting for this for a very long time. However, it is not a reason for complacency as we are being continuously warned by those who have studied the vaccine. The vaccine is 80 percent effective. There is still a 20 percent that we need to look out for very carefully,” ayon sa Pangulo.

“But nonetheless, there is still a danger and it is something that we need to look out for,” aniya pa rin.

Batid naman ng Chief Executive na “there is much work to do,” hinikayat ang Department of Agriculture (DA) na ituloy ang pagbuo ng partnerships sa academe at pribadong sektor para makaisip ng solusyon para lipulin ang mga nasabing sakit na patuloy na nagbibigay kalituhan at pahamak sa livestock at poultry subsectors ng bansa.

“I also urge all concerned government agencies and stakeholders to engage in productive dialogue and share our best ideas, practices, and technologies to advance our poultry and livestock industries,” ang wika ni Pangulong Marcos.

“Rest assured that the government stands firm with you in overcoming our present challenges by implementing data and science-based policies and programs,” lahad ng Punong Ehekutibo.

Samantala, muli namang inihayag ng Pangulo ang kanyang commitment na maghanap ng paraan para itaas ang kinikita ng mga Filipinong magsasaka “so that they can lead a dignified and comfortable life and return to the profession a sense of pride that has been lost over the years.”

Hinikayat din niya ang lahat ng mga stakeholders na “make the most of the knowledge and tools made available at the trade fair to establish a more food-secure, sustainable, and resilient Philippines.”

Ang Livestock Philippines 2023 ay isang international trade fair para sa innovative production at processing ng poultry at livestock.

Inorganisa ito ng Informa Markets, nangungunang global events at exhibitions company na dalubhasa sa pag-organisa ng mga trade shows gaya ng Livestock Philippines.

Ang three-day event ang dahilan para magsama-sama ang 300 local at international exhibitors mula sa 20 bansa.

“Through Livestock Philippines 2023, Informa Markets aims to support the development of livestock industry in the Philippines, promote best practices, highlight technological advancements and facilitate trade opportunities,” ayon sa ulat. (Daris Jose)
