Birthday wish ni PBBM: Matagumpay na inisyatiba ng gobyerno, natapos na mga proyekto

UMAASA si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., na patuloy na magtatagumpay ang mga programa ng gobyerno at matatapos sa itinakdang oras ang mga mahahalagang proyekto sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa.

Ito ang birthday wish ni Pangulong Marcos na magdiriwang ng kanyang ika- 68 taon sa darating na Sept. 13.

“Simple lang naman ang aking hangarin lalo na dito para sa administration na ito. Matapos namin lahat ng aming ginagawa,” ang pahayag ng Pangulo sa fourth episode ng kanyang podcast nang tanungin kung ano ang kanyang birthday wish.

“Or syempre marami diyan hindi talaga matatapos sa anim taon kaya sana masimulan lang para kahit papaano sa susunod na administration matutuloy dahil sayang naman. Maganda naman ang nagiging resulta. Maganda ang takbo ng ekonomiya,” dagdag na pahayag ni Pangulong Marcos.

Ipinagmalaki naman ng Pangulo ang positibong kalagayan ng ekonomiya ng bansa, at maging ang lumalagong ‘international respect’ para sa Pilipinas at mga mamamayang Filipino.

Inilarawan naman niya ang global recognition sa exceptional skills ng mga pinoy bilang “heartwarming.”

“Maganda ang takbo ng ekonomiya. Mataas ang tingin sa atin ng ating mga kaibigan sa buong mundo. Mataas ang tingin sa Pilipinas at lalo pang mas mataas ang tingin sa Pilipino. Alam mo lahat kahit saan ako pumunta, unang unang sasabihin ang gagaling ng mga Pilipino doon sa amin,” anito.

NATUPAD ang isa sa mga matagal na pangarap ni Paolo Gumabao, ang makapag-shoot ng pelikula abroad.

Sa Prague na pinakamalaking siyudad at capital ng Czech Republic sila nag-shoot ng malaking bahagi ng pelikulang “Spring In Prague” kung saan siya bida.

“Una sa lahat, sobrang dream come true kasi tagal ko na talagang pinangarap na makagawa ng pelikula sa ibang bansa,” pahayag ni Paolo.

“Pero siguro ang masasabi ko is sobrang lamig, ang hirap pala mag-English ng dire-diretso ng malamig, nanginginig yung lahat ng parte sa katawan mo, ang hirap mag-English, mahirap yun. Ha! Ha! Ha!

“Pero it was a great experience and it was an honor working with Sara and siyempre sila direk Lester and everyone on the team, si Atty. Sa lahat ng mga cast, congrats po sa inyo and iyon, it was a wonderful experience.”

Leading lady sa pelikula ang Czech actress na si Sara Sandeva at ang direktor naman nila ay Lester Dimaranan.

Prinodyus ito ng Borracho Films ng executive producer na si Atty. Ferdinand Topacio.

Ipalalabas ang pelikula bago matapos ang taong 2025.

Ano ang eksena sa “Spring In Prague” ang pinaka-memorable para sa kanya?

“Siguro yung eksena na nag-aaway kami ni Sara.

“We were shooting ano yun, minus 10 degrees, so away tapos ang hirap itago e, kasi everytime nangyayari, okay on the set, lahat kami balot na balot kami, naka-comforter kami, nanginginig kami, tapos ‘action’, biglang straight ang kilos, parang it’s tricky to maneuver around like learning… like having to work with the weather.

“And siyempre sa mga equipment pa natin, kailangan ingatan, so ayun, iyon yung pinaka-memorable sa akin, yung minus 10 degrees.”

Kumusta si Sara bilang leading lady?

“Sarap katrabaho! Kasi isa sa pinaka na-appreciate ko sa pag kunwari meron mga katrabahong artista is yung pagiging collaborative nila and si Sara, every time, every scene, you know, we would sit through it, we would throw lines.

“Hindi mo na kailangan na alam mo yun, yung pipilitin mo pa, and you just ask her and, ‘Yeah let’s go!’

“And every time na nag-throw lines kami, talagang 100% siya, bigay na bigay siya sa mga eksena.

“That’s one of the traits about her na na-appreciate ko. “Aside from that, yun nga, yung professionalism, di ba, making sure she’s prepared before siya dumating sa set, so pagdating sa set, 100% prepared na.”

MARIING itinanggi ni Quezon City First District Representative Arjo Atayde ang alegasyon ng mag-asawang Curlee at Sarah Discaya na kasama siya sa tumanggap ng porsyento mula sa flood control projects ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Ang pagsasangkot ay ginawa ng mga Discaya sa Senate Blue Ribbon Committee inquiry nitong Lunes, Setyembre 8, 2025, kasama pa ng ilan pang politiko.

Sa official statement na nilabas ng actor-politician sa pamamagitan ng Instagram post, sinabi nito na…

“I categorically deny the allegation that I benefited from any contractor.

“I have never dealt with them. Hindi totoo ang mga akusasyon na ito.

“I have never used my position for personal gain. And I never will.

“I will avail of all remedies under the law to clear my name and hold accountable those who spread these falsehoods.”

Samantala, umalma ang TV host-actress na si Maine Mendoza sa mga pambabatikos na natatanggap niya ngayon at kanyang asawa.

Naglabas nga ng pahayag si Maine, sa kanyang post sa X (dating Twitter), at sinabi nito na “baseless allegations” ang mga paratang laban kay Cong. Arjo.

“Teka lang muna, those are baseless allegations. Please refrain from throwing hate and personal attacks at him, including me and our family until facts come out.

“I am with my husband in this. Wala siyang ginagawang masama sa loob.

Matutupad ang pangarap ng Kapuso actor na sumabak sa isang professional wrestling match ngayong buwan dahil makakaharap niya sa wresting ring ang Pinoy pro wrestler na si Thiago “The Gym Bro” Santiago sa darating na Sept. 14.

Nais din ng actor na makilala sa larangan ng pro wrestling. Kaya noong April pa raw siya naghahanda para sa pagsabak niya sa sasalihang wrestling match.

“Dream ko kahit saglit lang maranasan ‘yan, i-try natin,” sey ni Rocco na huling napanood sa mga teleserye na ‘Lolong 2’ at ‘Mommy Dearest.‘

Calling all besties! Director Jon M. Chu along with Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are searching best Filipino duets of “For Good” in the “Awiting Wicked: For Good” competition

IT’S time to grab your musical bestie and start practicing as “Wicked: For Good” director Jon M. Chu, Cynthia Erivo, and Ariana Grande are on the lookout for talented Filipinos to sing their version of the iconic “For Good” duet.

In anticipation of “Wicked: For Good,” the sequel to last year’s musical phenomenon, Universal Pictures Philippines is doing an open call for duos to sing their best rendition of “For Good,” to be posted on TikTok starting September 15 until October 5. Three pairs of singers, handpicked by Chu, Erivo, and Grande, will be announced as winners on October 13.

“Awiting Wicked: For Good” has also partnered with SM to set up audition stations in select SM Malls to provide aspiring contestants the perfect environment for their entries. Icon Utada Hikaru joins forces with “Kick Back” singer Kenshi Yonezu for “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc”

Japanese singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu is back to produce music again for “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc.” The singer previously created the hit opening theme song of the “Chainsaw Man” anime series “Kick Back.” This time, he’s collaborating with icon Utada Hikaru, who will lend their voice as a guest singer for the ending song “Jane Doe.” Kenshi Yonezu is also making the “Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc” opening song “Iris Out.”

NATIONWIDE ANTI-DRUG OPERATIONS NG PDEA, NAKAKUMPISKA NG ₱1.16-B NA HALAGA NG ILLEGAL NA DROGA

NAGSAGAWA ng nationwide sweep ng anti-illegal drugs operations ang Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) mula Agosto 29, 2025 hanggang Setyembre 5, 2025, na nagresulta sa pagkakakumpiska ng ₱1.16-B halaga ng iligal na droga.

Ang PDEA, katuwang ang iba pang law enforcement agencies, ay nagsagawa ng kabuuang 48 buy-busts, marijuana eradications operations, interdictions, warrants of arrest at raids na humantong sa pagkakaaresto sa 101 drug personalities na binubuo ng 36 na tulak, 24 na bisita sa drug den, pitong empleyado ng drug den, 11 drug den owners/maintainers, at 11 drug den owners/maintainers, at 12 drug owners.

Ang kabuuang tinantyang market value ng mga iligal na droga na nasamsam noong linggo ay umabot sa ₱1.16 bilyon. At ito ang buod ng mga seizure ng droga:

a. 169,557.58 gramo ng methamphetamine hydrochloride, o shabu;

b. 10,250 piraso ng halaman ng marijuana;

c. 272.63 gramo ng marijuana fruiting tops; at

d. 1,000 piraso ng mga punla ng marijuana.

Kabilang sa mga kapansin-pansing nagawa ay ang pagkakakumpiska ng 86.7 kilo ng shabu na nagkakahalaga ng ₱589.98 milyon sa isang interdiction operation sa Barangay Rio Hondo, Zamboanga City noong Agosto 31, 2025; ang pagkakasamsam ng 70 kilo ng shabu na nagkakahalaga ng ₱476 milyon sa interdiction operation sa loob ng bodega ng isang service courier company sa Vitas, Tondo noong Setyembre 2, 2025; at ang pagkakasamsam ng halos 11 kilo ng shabu na nagkakahalaga ng ₱74.8 milyon kasunod ng isa pang interdiction operation sa Clark Freeport Zone, Mabalacat, Pampanga noong Agosto 30, 2025.

Pekeng Pinoy walang puwang sa Pilipinas-BI

MULING nagpaalala si Bureau of Immigration (BI Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado na walang puwang ang pekeng Pinoy sa Pilipinaskasunod ng pagkakaaresto ng tatlong Chinese national na illegal na naninirahan sa bansa.

Naaresto sa isang commercial building sa Bangony, Davao City sina Xu Yonglian, 38; Lin Jinxing, 42; at Cai Xiji, 44 na ilegal na nagtatrabaho sa bansa.

Ang operasyon ay isinagawa ng pinagsamang puwersa ng BI intelligence division sa Mindanao at BI regional intelligence operating unit 11, na ma koordinasyon sa Philippine Army, Air Force of the Philippines, Philippine National Police (PNP) Sta. Ana Police Station, PNP Davao City Police Office, at puwersa ng intelligence.

Si Xu ay nagpapakilalang Filipino at gumagamit din ng Pinoy na apeyido sa kanyang negosyo habang si Lin ay nagtatrabaho bagama’t tourist visa lang ang kanyang hawak habang si Cail ay may working visa sa isang kumpanya subalit nagtatrabaho ito sa Davao na isang paglabag sa Phillippine law.

“One of them was using a Filipino name in business dealings, misrepresenting himself as a Filipino,”ayon kay Viado. “We will not allow illegal aliens to use the said scheme to remain in the country,” dagdag pa nito.

Samantala, kinumpirma rin ni Viado ang deportation case ng Chinese national na si Chen Zhong Zhen na pinirmahan ni Presiding Judge Esperanza M. Cortes ng Regional Trial Court Branch 221 ng Taguig City na nagsasaad sa nasabing kautusan na pinapayagan ang petition for habeas corpus at kautusan ng kanyang paglaya mula sa kustodiya ng BI, dahil sa kakulangan ng jurisdication.

“We respect the decision of the court, but we maintain that there is strong evidence against Chen, supported by BI biometric records,” said Viado. “Fingerprints to not lie,” pahayag ni Viado. (Gene Adsuara)
