PDu30, pinuri ang DPWH sa Saraiya Bypass Road project

PINURI ni Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte ang Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) at project partners nito para sa pagtatapos ng Saraiya Bypass Road project.

Sa kanyang naging talumpati sa isinagawang pagpapasinaya sa Sariaya By-Pass Road Project sa Brgy. Isabang, Lucena City ay sinabi ng Pangulo na ang achievement na ito ay patunay ng “strong commitment” ng administrasyon na mapabuti ang kalidad ng buhay ng mga Filipino sa pamamagitan ng pagsusulong ng strategic infra projects sa iba’t ibang lugar sa bansa.

“Thereby improving connectivity, increasing the people’s mobility and creating jobs and dispersing economic activity throughout the regions,” ayon sa Pangulo.

“Today, we add another milestone in our build, build, build program, the inauguration of the Saraiya Bypass Road. This project spans more than 70 kilometers starts at the Manila South Road Daang Maharlika Road and ends at the Quezon Eco tourism Road,” dagdag na pahayag nito.

Hindi lamang ito makapagbibigay nang mabilis at ligtas na biyahe para sa mga motorista kundi epektibong “transport of goods to and from the markets of Southern Luzon.”

Inaasahan din na mababawasan ang traffic volume sa kahabaan ng Daang Maharlika mula Saraiya papuntang Lucena ng 40%.

“It will likewise spur the growth of industries and business opportunities are thereby boosting the socio-economic development of Quezon province and improve the lives of the people,” ayon sa Pangulo.

Habang patuloy na pinagtatagumpayan ang kasalukuyang pandemya at maingat na muling buksan ang national at local economies, infrastructure development ay may maganda at mahalagang tungkulin sa tagumpay.

“Indeed, we can fully achieve inclusive growth when the countryside development is pursued. Improved mobility including efficient access of goods and services will lead to greater productivity and progress,” ayon sa Pangulo.

Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ Has Finished Scoring, Reveals Composer Michael Giacchino

AWARD-WINNING American musician and composer Michael Giacchino revealed via Twitter that the upcoming DC film The Batman finished scoring on October 22nd.

Giacchino spoke enthusiastically about the process, saying the orchestra “killed it.” The film, directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson as Batman, is slated to be released on March 4th, 2022.

Giacchino previously shared a sneak peek at the score earlier this fall and stated that he felt “total freedom to do whatever I want” due to Reeves’ support. Given Giacchino’s overwhelming excitement for the film, it sounds like fans have a lot to look forward to.

Giacchino began his scoring career in video games, but rose to prominence with his scores for Pixar, winning his first Oscar for Up in 2010. He also has significant experience scoring for major franchises, having written the scores for Jurassic World, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and both Marvel Spider-Man films, among many others.

Giacchino who also received an Emmy, and three Grammys has now become one of the most sought-after composers in Hollywood. Reeves and Giacchino have worked together multiple times, most recently on War for the Planet of the Apes. Their well-established working relationship likely influenced the freedom Giacchino felt working on The Batman.

Giacchino commented on Reeves’ take on Batman, saying that “what he’s doing is really cool, and it’s different and it feels fresh.”

DC recently released a new trailer as a part of DC FanDome that revealed how gritty Pattinson’s take on the character will be. The film also stars Colin Farrel as the Penguin, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, Jefferey Wright as Jim Gordan, Paul Dano as the Riddler, and Andy Serkis as Alfred. The Batman also features John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Barry Keoghan, Jayme Lawson, and Alex Ferns. Reeves co-wrote the screenplay with Peter Craig, and Dylan Clark produces. Carlos Yulo nasungkit ang world championship gold medal sa vault

Nasungkit ni Carlos Yulo ang kanyang kauna-unahang gintong medalya matapos na namayagpag sa men’s vault event sa 2021 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships sa Kitakyushu City Gymnasium sa Japan ngayong araw.

Nagtapos ang 21-anyos ng average na 14.916 na pinalakas pa ng kanyang 15.033 score sa second vault matapos na makapagtala ng 14.800 sa kanyang unang attempt.

Ang pambato ng Japan na si Yonekura Hidenobu ang nakakuha ng silver medal sa score na 14.866 habang bronze naman ang nasungkit ng pambato ng Israel na su Andrey Medvedev na may score na 14.649.

Inaasahang bibigyan si Yulo ng cash incentives ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) dahil sa kanyang nakamit na karangalan para sa bansa.

Ito ang ikalawang world title ni Yulo matapos magkampeon sa floor exercise ng 2019 edition sa Stuttgart, Germany kung saan niya nakuha ang tiket para sa Tokyo Olympics.

Si Yulo ang ikaapat na atletang nagbigay ng karangalan sa bansa ngayong taon matapos sina Tokyo Olympics weightlifting gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, U.S. Women’s Open golf champion Yuka Saso at US Open billiards king Carlos Biado.

Hindi naman siya pinalad sa finals ng parallel bars nang makuntento sa silver medal sa kanyang total score na 15.300 mula sa 8.900 sa execution at 6.400 sa difficulty.

Ang gold ay ibinulsa ni Chinese Hu Xuwie (15.466) habang ang kanyang kababayang si Shi Cong (15.066) ang sumikwat sa bronze.

Mental health issue sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic, pinapatutukan sa pamahalaan

Pinapatutukan ni House Committee on People’s Participation chairperson Rida Robes sa pamahalaan ang issue sa mental health sa gitna ng COVID-19 pandemic.

Mas dumami kasi aniya sa ngayon ang insidente ng depression at suicide bunsod ng pandemya.

Sa kabila aniya ng seryosong problema na ito ay limang porsiyento lamang ng budget ng Department of Health (DOH) ang inilaan para sa mental health programs.

Kaya nga inihain niya kamakailan ang House Bill No. 9980 na magtatatag ng mental health clinic sa San Jose Del Monte City sa Bulacan.

Kung sakali, ito ang siyang magiging kauna-unahan sa bansa kapag naisabatas ang naturang panukala.

Pasado na ang panukala sa Kamara at hinihintay na lamang ang pag-apruba ng Senado.

Kabilang sa mga serbisyong ibibigay nito ay counseling at therapy, iba’t ibang psychiatric services at psychotherapy services sa mga pasyenteng may anxiety, trauma at depression.

Pagbaba ng COVID-19 cases dahil sa malawakang vaccination – OCTA

Kumpiyansa ang OCTA Research Group na ang patuloy na pagbaba ng mga naitatalang kaso ng COVID-19 cases sa bansa ay dulot nang malawakang vaccination program na isinasagawa ng pamahalaan.

Ayon kay OCTA Fellow Dr. Guido David, sa ngayon ang reproduction number ng Pilipinas ay nasa 0.52 na lamang, na indikasyong nagkakaroon ng pagbagal ng hawaan ng virus.

Ang reproduction number ay ang bilang ng mga tao na maaaring mahawaan ng isang pasyente ng COVID.

Sinabi rin ni David na ang average daily infections sa buong bansa ay nabawasan din ng 35% o naging 4,500 mula sa dating 8,400 noong nakaraang linggo.

Inihayag pa ng eksperto na dahil marami nang protektado, wala nang masyadong makapitan ang virus, lalo na sa Metro Manila, na ang daily average ay nasa less than 1,000 na lamang sa ngayon.

“Ang kinakapitan nito ay mga unvaccinated or ’yung mga vaccinated na may comorbidity or ’di masyado nakakagawa ng antibodies ang katawan nila kaya sila nakakakuha ng virus,” dagdag pa ni David.

Sa ngayon aniya ay hindi pa sila nakakita ng spike ng kaso sa NCR sa ilalim ng Alert Level 3 ngunit hindi aniya ito dahilan upang magpabaya na ang lahat. (Daris Jose)

WE are happy for Ms. Kris Aquino who is now engaged sa kanyang boyfriend na si former DILG Secretary Mel Senen Sarmiento.

Sa kanyang mahabang IG post ay pinasalamatan ni Kris ang kanyang yumaong Kuya Noynoy Aquino na siyang nagpakilala sa kanya sa ‘new man in her life’.

Kris shared na alam ng kanyang Kuya na she will be broken sa pagkawala nito kaya his Kuya Noy made sure na there is someone who not only wiped her away her tears but made it also possible to smile and laugh again.

Dumating ito nung panahon na hindi niya inaasahan kaya tama nga ang lahat na nagsabi in God’s perfect time.

After what Kris had experienced and gone through in the name of love, she deserves to be happy. Sana nga ito na ang forever na inaasam niya.

Say pa ni Kris, “As much as I am proud to be an Aquino, looking forward na kong maging Sarmento.”

TAKOT sa multo si Candy Pangilinan kaya hindi siya mahilig manood ng horror movies.

Sa digital presscon ng Sa Haba ng Gabi, directed by Miko Livelo, ikinuwento niya na there was an instance na naligo siyang bukas ang pinto ng banyo, pati pinto ng kwarto dahil sa takot.

Nararamdaman niya kasi na may presence sa loob ng kuwartong tinutuluyan niya. Said incident happened sa isang probinsiya many years ago. Kaya anything na nakakatakot ay hindi niya pinanood.

In a way, sabi ni Candy, ay nakatatakot din ang experience nila during the shoot of Sa Haba ng Gabi. Bukod kasi sa binagyo sila ay nagkaroon pa ng earthquake while they were shooting.

Kasama rin movie ang couple na sina Kim Molina at Jerald Napoles. The movie will be streamed sa Vivamax simula October 29.

PUMIRMA ng kontrata si Kiefer Sanchez, one of the members of the TNT Boys sa MAK Entertainment Services.

The contract signing was held last Saturday sa H Café and Events Place.

Ang MAK Entertaiment Services ay pag-aari ng couple na sina Ferdie Mak at Debbie. Isa itong US-based artist management and concert company.

Ang unang venture ng MAK sa concert production ay isang digital concert titled Sheryn Regis: Love United na co-prod nila with ABS-CBN.

Pero kahit na pumirma na si Kiefer sa MAK ay patuloy pa rin siyang magiging member ng TNT Boys.

Umaasa ang 16-year-old na si Kiefer na sa tulong ng MAK ay matutupad ang pangarap niyang makilala sa international music scene.
