SIMULA na ngayong gabi, June 28, ang finale week ng top rating at pinag-uusapang romantic-comedy series na First Yaya nina Gabby Concepcion at Sanya Lopez.

Nagsimula na ang twist ng story last Friday evening, and it seems, na wala nang maba-bash ang mga netizens na galit sa mga gumanap na kontrabida sa buhay ni Yaya Melody (Sanya), sina Maxine Medina, Analyn Barro at si Kakai Bautista.

Si Lorraine (Maxine) na in love kay President Glenn Acosta (Gabby) na gustong sirain talaga si Melody. Younger sister ni Melody si Gemrose (Analyn) na inggit na inggit sa kanya kaya laging kontra sa kanya, si Pepita (Kakai) na inggit na inggit sa beauty ni Melody at kampi kay Lorraine.  Kaya sila ang nakatikim ng galit at bashings ng mga televiewers.

Inamin ng tatlo na shock sila sa mga natatanggap nilang bashings, pero nagpapasalamat din sila dahil ibig sabihin, effective ang pagganap nila sa kani-kanilang role.

HAPPY si Kapuso actor Tom Rodriguez sa bagong role na gagampanan niya sa upcoming romantic drama series na The World Between Us na makakasama niya sina Alden Richards, Jasmine Curtis-Smith at iba pa.

“It’s such a different character kaya nagkaroon ako ng interest,” sabi ni Tom.

“To tell you the truth, naging interesado rin ako dahil, me ang my manager were given a few option. GMA was so kind to us kung ano ang gusto namin. Nakita ko iyong iba, it would have been fun din, romantic-comedy type. 

“‘Nung mabasa ko ang synopsis for this one, and the cast that would be attached to it, it was too attractive to pass up, it would be a chance for me to play around, to try a different one, to experiment, to also stretch myself as an actor. 

“He will try to get in between the love of Louie (Alden) and Lia (Jasmine). But promise, as Brian, he is more than a typical kontrabida, kinikilig ako sa love story nila. Malalaman din ninyo na Brian is wounded, kaya hindi siya kontrabida lang just to be a kontrabida. Don’t miss our new teleserye, simula sa July 5 mapapanood na ninyo kami.”

Meanwhile, masaya si Tom na nakatapos na ang fiancée niyang si Carla Abellana ng first leg ng lock-in taping ng new soap nito na To Have and To Hold at nakita ni Tom, na nasa lock-in taping naman niya ang Instagram post nito pagkalabas sa taping at  nasabi niyang ‘ang ganda mo naman!!! NAGKAROON ng dalawang birthday celebration ang anak nina John Lloyd Cruz at Ellen Adarna na si Elias sa pamamagitan ng Spiderman-Themed Parties na hinanda nina John Lloyd, Ellen Adarna at Derek Ramsay.

Naunang nag-celebrate ng 3^rd birthday ni Elias kasama ang kanyang daddy JLC at may simpleng caption ang IG post niya ng, “hbd anak,” kasama ang photos na masayang-masaya na hawak ang red baloon.

Sa mismong birthday (June 27) ng anak, sina Ellen at Derek naman ang kasama. Caption naman ni Ellen sa kanyang post, “Happy Birthday My Love (na isang heart emoticon).”

Nag-post din si Derek ng kanyang pagbati kasama photo nila ni Elias habang nasa swimming pool at may caption na, “Happy birthday babyguling!! Love ya buddy!!”

May isang netizen naman ang nag-react at nag-comment ng, “Buti n lang my Step dad na tagapag alaga ng anakshie ni JL. Good job dadz Derek… Kampay… Say thank you Loydie hahaha.”

MAGHAHANDOG ng virtual concert para sa elderly gay community si Nadine Lustre na may titulong Nadine, Together With Us.

     Para rin daw ito maka-raise ng funds para sa mga drag artists na nawalan ng trabaho noong magkaroon ng pandemya.

The online show will be streamed via the official TaskUs PH Facebook page on Monday, June 28, at 6:30 PM.

Makakasama ni Nadine ang ilang members ng drag community na sina Vinas DeLuxe, Lady Gagita, and Andy Crocker. Sasamahan siya ng mga ito sa virtual performance niya ng mga songs na “White Rabbit,” “Seconds,” “Dance with Danger,” “Glow,” and “Ivory”.

     “I have always admired drag queens and the level of artistry that they put into every look and act. It’s an art that only drag queens can pull off, so to lose them in the scene is also to lose a unique art form.

“I am very proud to be part of a cause and help amplify the voices of our queer community. To all members of the LGBTQIA+ community, I want you to know that you are loved and valued,” sey ni Lustre patungkol sa rainbow community.

The concert will raise funds for the Home for the Golden Gays Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides support and care for elderly LGBTQIA+ people.

The organization was founded in the 1970s by Filipino LGBTQIA+ rights activist Justo C. Justo.

BIBIGYAN ng honorary Oscar ang Hollywood actor na si Samuel L. Jackson at gagawaran ng special honors naman sina Danny Glover, writer-director Elaine May and Norwegian actress Liv Ullmann dahil sa contributions nila to filmmaking ayon sa Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences or AMPAS.

Igagawad ang honorary Oscar sa 2022 Academy Awards.

Ayon sa AMPAS President David Rubin: “The recipients “have had a profound impact on both film and society.”

Nakilala si Jackson bilang si Nick Fury sa maraming Marvel movies. Nakagawa ito ng higit sa 100 films, kasama na ang Oscar nominated role niya sa 1994 Quentin Tarantino drama na Pulp Fiction.

Si Ullman ay frequent collaborator with Swedish director Ingmar Bergman. Lumabas siya sa mga pelikulang  Persona, The Passion of Anna, Cries and Whispers and other Bergman films. Na-nominate si Ullman for best actress in 1971 for film The Emigrants and in the 1976 film na Face to Face.

Si May ay nakatanggap ng Oscar nominations for best adapted screenplay for 1978’s Heaven Can Wait and 1999’s Primary Colors. Bago siya naging screenwriter, part siya ng comedy duo na Nichols and May, noong 1958, with the late film director Mike Nichols.

     Si Glover ay nakilala sa mga hit Lethal Weapon movies at tatanggapin niya ang Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for his advocacy for justice and human rights. Kasalukuyang goodwill ambassador for UNICEF si Glover.
