Ipatupad ang 24/7 shipment process

INATASAN ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Bureau of Customs (BOC) at Department of Agriculture (DA) na ipatupad ang 24/7 na deployment ng mga team para masiguro na walang itigil ang shipment process sa buong bansa.

Sa pagsasalita sa ika-apat na pagpupulong ng Private Sector Advisory Council (PSAC) – Infrastructure Sector Group, araw ng Miyerkules, binigyang-diin ni Pangulong Marcos ang kahalagahan ng “round-the-clock shipment process” para ma-accommodate ang pagdating ng mas maraming barko sa bansa.

“In this business, there’s no afterhours. It can – it’s ready 24/7. So, let’s not put an extra team, let’s just keep it running. Whatever you have there in the day, let the same number of people that you have all 24 hours,” ayon kay Marcos.

“So, three eight-hour shifts,” dagdag na wika nito.

Ang pahayag ng Pangulo ay kasunod ng rekumendasyon ng PSAC na hayaan ang BOC at DA na mag-produce ng shifting schedule, siguraduhin ang 24/7 operations sa kabila ng serbisyo ng pamahalaan na may kinalaman sa ‘logistics at supply chains.’

Tinuran ng PSAC na ang hakbang na ito ay upang tiyakin na magpapatuloy ang inspeksyon, clearance at payment process, partikular na ang bawasan ang mga gastos at oras lalo na sa

x-ray scanning operations sa tanggapan ng BOC at DA na inatasan na inspeksyunin ang ‘reefer vans.’

Samantala, dumalo naman sa naturang pagpupulong sa Palasyo ng Malakanyang sina PSAC Strategic Convenor Sabin Aboitiz, President at CEO ng Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc.; kasama ang mga miyembro ng PSAC na sina Enrique Razon, Manuel Pangilinan, Eric Ramon Recto, Joanne de Asis, Ramoncito Fernandez, Rogelio Singson, Christian Gonzalez at Daniel Aboitiz.

Binubuo ng mga kilalang tycoons at business leaders, ang PSAC ay regular na nagpupulong at nagrerekomenda sa Pangulo ng iba’t ibang polisiya at programa sa ilalim ng anim na sektor gaya ng “infrastructure, agriculture, digital infrastructure, healthcare, jobs at tourism.”

Pumalag sa mga black propaganda… ZUBIRI, HANDANG MAGSAMPA NG KASONG CYBER LIBEL

NAGBANTA si dating Senate President Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri na handa siyang magsampa ng kasong cyber libel sa mga influencer at vlogger na naglalabas ng fake news para ipinukol sa kanyang reputasyon at pangalan na matagal niyang inalagaan.

Isa-isa ngang sinagot ni Zubiri ang mga lumabas na black propaganda na nakapaloob sa maraming videos na nagkakalat ng malisyosong tsismis na ipinost sa social media at na-timing sa kanyang pagpapababa bilang Senate President.

“They came out with a first set of videos two months ago, on the first attempt to unseat me. When that failed, they produced a part two video, which was released during the week of the second attempt. The timing is impeccable,” panimula ni Zubiri.

May “impeccable timing” umano ang black propaganda dahil lumabas ito kasabay ng kanyang pagbaba bilang Senate President.

“It’s an obvious attempt to discredit my leadership and taint my name. And they’re funneling huge amounts of money into this campaign – from production to promotion,” dagdag pa niya.

“So to whoever’s spreading these lies to make it look like I’m pocketing government money to buy mansions and jets, these are totally false. I hope they’re ready because I will be filing cases and will not stop until justice prevails.”

Ayon sa mga fake new video, mayroon daw umanong bahay si Zubiri sa Forbes Park, kasama ang private airplanes, jets at helicopters, at galing daw umano ito sa katiwalian.

“Walang katotohanan yan,” deklarasyon ni Zubiri, kasabay ng paghahamon na kung may makita silang bahay ng senador sa Forbes, sa kanila na ito.

Depensa ni Zubiri, wala siyang pag-aari sa Forbes Park. “Yung bahay ko ngayon, na wala sa Forbes, ay nabili ko noong 2009 pa po. At nasa SALN (Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth) ko po iyan,” dagdag niya.

Sa isyu naman ng pribadong mga eroplano, ipinaliwanag niya na humihiram lang siya nito para magampanan ang mga obligasyon niya bilang senador – lalo na noong panahon niya bilang Pangulo ng Senado, at lalo kung hapit ang schedule.

Kasama rin sa mga balita ang pagpapatayo ni Zubiri ng isang resort sa Camiguin – na siya namang inamin ng senador.

“This is not a private hideaway, and you can find the property in my SALN,” sabi pa niya.

“Nagpapatayo ako ngayon doon ng maliit na resort, dahil naniniwala ako sa ganda ng Camiguin at ng Northern Mindanao, at gusto kong tumulong na gawin itong top tourist destination dito sa Pilipinas,” paliwanag ni Zubiri.

Ipinaliwanag din niya na bilang negosyante, “may kaya naman po tayo.”

Naka-base sa Bukidnon ang pamilya ni Zubiri, na matagal nang nasa industriya ng pagpo-proseso ng asukal at pagtatanim ng pinya. Ang senador mismo ay may negosyong planta ng industrial ice sa Iloilo at Cagayan, at planta ng renewable energy sa Bukidnon.

“May income po tayo, at nasa SALN ko po lahat iyan. And we pay all our taxes,” sabi niya.

“I always encourage aspiring politicians to have their own sources of income separate from public service. Para walang temptation na mangurakot sa kaban ng bayan,” pagpapatuloy ni Zubiri.

“Matagal na ako sa pulitika, and I take pride in maintaining a clean record. Wala tayong scandals sa pera ng bayan. Kasama ba tayo sa Napoles Scandal? Hindi. Dahil hindi tayo sumang-ayon sa paglagay ng pera ng bayan sa mga private foundations.”

Noong panahon niya sa Kamara, natatandaan ni Zubiri na nilapitan siya ng dalawang tao sa magkahiwalay na okasyon at hinihingi ang kanyang pirma sa liquid fertilizer scam, kapalit ng P5 million.

Galit niyang pinaalis at tinanggihan ang mga ito.

Feel the fear and the danger of the unknown in Ishana Night Shyamalan’s horror-thriller, “The Watchers”

Director Ishana Night Shyamalan weaves fantasy and horror together in her feature debut, The Watchers, and takes us on a mystery deep within the forests of Ireland. “The movie is very much a journey of uncovering this mystery—figuring out who these creatures are and what they want. Why are they being watched?”

To set the stage where the mysterious Watchers can observe the trapped individuals, Shyamalan started to formulate the look of the coop. “The coop is such an intriguing place, and it gave us so much to play with and think about when designing the build. In essence, it’s an observatory, but it works two ways—you are looking out, but you’re also being watched,” she says. “We were really drawn to the idea of almost a play with very theatrical elements and lighting—where any moment you are being observed and on display. That can be a very uncomfortable feeling. So, we leaned into brutalist architecture, and the colors and textures associated with it.”

Dakota Fanning, who plays the main character Mina, talks about the unsettling nature of the coop and being one of the characters trapped inside. “The coop’s purpose is to keep these four characters safe from the Watchers, and to also provide a way for the Watchers to watch them. There’s a big window that turns into a mirror at night,” Fanning explains. “At first, we filmed mostly with the mirror in, so you were kind of forced to look at yourself, which was a little bit strange at first, but it was also helpful, because it added to the uneasiness that the characters might also feel.”

Sakaling matuloy sa pagtakbong gobernador: VG MARK, siguradong mababawasan na ang oras para kay KRIS

NAKABALIK na sa Pilipinas ang bagong kasal at butihing Gobernador ng Batangas na si Dodo Mandanas, matapos ang Italian honeymoon nila ng 32 anyos na asawa.

Matunog pa rin ang balita na isa ang 80-year old governor sa mga kinokonsidera bilang bagong Executive Secretary ng Marcos Administration kapalit ni ES Lucas Bersamin.

Bali-balitang magaganap daw ang rigodon ngayong Hunyo, kahit na todo deny si Gov dito.

Ayon pa sa kanya, “you are never too old for marriage or politics”.

Dito raw papasok sa eksena ang Vice Governor ng Batangas na si Mark Leviste dahil siya na ang next-in-line sa posisyon.

Usap-sapan din ang pagkikita ng dalawa kamakailan. Makikita nga sa latest post ni VG Leviste ang pakikipagkamay kay Gov. Mandanas sabay ang mga salitang “sealed with a handshake.”

Mukhang nagkakamabutihan na sila sa mga susunod na hakbang para sa 2025 midterm election.

Ang tanong lang ngayon, kung matuloy ang pagtakbo ni VG Mark bilang susunod na Gobernador ng Batangas paano na kaya sila ni Kris Aquino?

Magkaka-oras pa ba siya sa tuwing kakailanganin siya ni Kris na kasalukuyan pa ring nagpapagamot sa Amerika?

BILANG pagkilala at pagpapahalaga sa mga naging bahagi ng muling pagbangon ng Philippine movie industry noong nakaraang taon, magkakaroon ng bagong special award ang 7th The EDDYS o Entertainment Editors’ Choice.

Inihayag ng Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd) ang pamamahagi ng Box Office Hero Award sa gaganaping awards night ng ika-7 edisyon ng The EDDYS sa darating na July 7, 2024, 7 p.m..

Magaganap ang pinakaaabangang Gabi ng Parangal sa Ceremonial Hall ng Marriott Grand Ballroom sa Newport World Resorts, Pasay City.

Mapapanood din ang kabuuan ng 7th EDDYS Awards Night sa delayed telecast nito sa ALLTV sa July 14, 10 p.m..

Ang Box Office Hero Award ay igagawad bilang pagbibigay-pugay sa mga pangunahing artista na bumida sa highest-grossing films sa bansa na naging daan upang muling sumugod sa sinehan ang mga manonood at manumbalik ang sigla ng pelikulang Pilipino.

“Each of the films cited in this year’s Box Office Hero award has earned more than P100 million at the box office,” ayon sa bagong Pangulo ng SPEEd na si Salve Asis, entertainment editor ng Pilipino Star Ngayon at Pang Masa.

“The figures they produced are more than enough to inspire the industry to continue producing films that are both commercially viable and artistically impactful,” papayas pa niya pa.

Tumabo sa takilya ang 49th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry ng mag-asawang Dingdong at Marian na “Rewind” mula sa Star Cinema, Agosto Dos Media at APT Entertainment. Ito ngayon ang itinuturing na highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, matapos kumita ng P1 billion.

Certified box office stars na rin sina Alden at Julia dahil sa pelikula nilang “Five Breakups and A Romance” mula sa GMA Pictures, Cornerstone Studios at Myriad Entertainment. Kumita ito ng mahigit P100 million sa takilya.

Kikilalanin din si Kathryn bilang isa sa Box Office Heroes ng The EDDYS matapos humakot ng milyun-milyong piso ang pelikula niyang “A Very Good Girl” na ipinrodyus ng Star Cinema.

Ang dark comedy-thriller na ito ay nakapag-record ng P100 million box office gross.

Samantala, pararangalan din si Piolo bilang Box Office Hero dahil sa tagumpay ng pelikula niyang “Mallari” mula sa Mentorque Productions na itinanghal namang second box-office winner sa MMFF 2024.

Umabot sa mahigit P225 million ang kinita nito sa mga sinehan.

Ang SPEEd ay binubuo ng mga current at former entertainment editors ng mga leading broadsheet, top tabloid newspaper at online portals sa Pilipinas.

KAHIT na naging busy sa kanilang showbiz careers, naging matiyaga sa kanilang pag-aaral ang mga Kapuso stars na sina Lianne Valentin at Shaira Diaz.

Kaya naman natapos nila ang kanilang kurso sa kolehiyo at certified graduates na sila.

Sa kanyang Instagram, nag-share si Lianne ng ilang clip at mga photos mula sa kanyang graduation ceremony.

“She a degree holder now. After 4 years, I can finally declare myself a student no more!! Thank you for everything parentals. love you both,” caption ni Lianne na nagtapos ng business administration course major in Human Resources Management mula sa ISHRM System School.

Si Shaira naman ay pinost sa Instagram Stories na suot ang formal suit at pants para sa kanyang graduation.

Venom: The Last Dance trailer sets up Tom Hardy’s final Marvel chapter, leaving the franchise’s future uncertain after 2024.

Directed by Kelly Marcel, the trilogy finale arrives on October 25, wrapping up Sony’s symbiote trilogy starring Hardy.

Sony Pictures teases upcoming releases in the Spider-Verse with Venom: The Last Dance and Kraven the Hunter scheduled for 2024.

Sony Pictures releases the first Venom: The Last Dance trailer, setting up the final Marvel chapter for Tom Hardy’s anti-hero. While the future of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is unclear after 2024, the clock is ticking for the character who began this franchise. After getting Sony’s Spider-Man Universe up and running, Hardy’s Venom: The Last Dance has been confirmed to be the final story for the iconic Marvel symbiote.

With only a couple of months left before Venom: The Last Dance’s release, Sony Pictures has finally released the first trailer for the trilogy finale on Twitter/X and YouTube. Directed by Kelly Marcel, who wrote the first two Venom movies, as well as the threequel, Venom: The Last Dance arrives on October 25. Check out the Venom: The Last Dance trailer below.

Sony also unveiled the first official Venom: The Last Dance synopsis, revealing more details on the plot for the film:

In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.

As Venom: The Last Dance will be the final movie for Hardy, the finale is clearly leaning into Klyntar as the third and final obstacle for the titular character. The trailer introduces numerous symbiote having arrived on Earth, likely because they are trying to get the Venom symbiote back to their planet. However, this is where Chiwetel Ejiofor and Juno Temple – who is revealed to be playing a character named Dr. Payne – get in the way because they want to keep the existence of symbiotes a secret.

While it was clear from the start that Venom: The Last Dance would take place directly after the ending to Spider-Man: No Way Home, the sequel may have just messed with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. The footage shows the piece of the symbiote being left behind on Earth-616 getting captured by Ejiofor’s character, meaning that there is no way for the black suit storyline to get explored in Spider-Man 4. Although it does seemingly confirm that whoever Ejiofor is playing in Venom: The Last Dance has found a way to travel between worlds.

A surprise addition to Venom: The Last Dance is the introduction of Rhys Ifans, who played Dr. Curt Connors, a.k.a. The Lizard, in The Amazing Spider-Man universe, as he can be seen briefly in the trailer. Whether or not he is playing a healed Curt or a completely new character remains to be seen, but this is definitely intriguing, especially after Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the first look for Venom: The Last Dance finally unveiled to the world, time will tell what else Sony Pictures will reveal about the film as it gets closer to its theatrical release this fall.
