Wuthering Heights, set to become a new classic for a new generation

A love so intense, it survives every lifetime. Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the first trailer for Wuthering Heights, the newest film from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman, Saltburn).
Starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi as the star-crossed lovers Cathy and Heathcliff, this reimagined adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic novel opens in cinemas February 11, 2026, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Set against the windswept moors and brimming with raw emotion, Wuthering Heights tells the story of Cathy and Heathcliff — two souls forever bound by a love so powerful, it becomes both salvation and destruction. In Fennell’s hands, this isn’t just another period drama. It’s an intoxicating descent into obsession, memory, and madness.

Robbie, an Academy Award and BAFTA nominee, plays the fierce and passionate Cathy. Opposite her is BAFTA nominee Jacob Elordi (Saltburn, Euphoria), embodying the enigmatic and tortured Heathcliff with haunting vulnerability. Together, they deliver a performance that feels as timeless as the story itself.

Beyond its magnetic leads, the film features a stellar supporting cast: Hong Chau (Oscar nominee), Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes (BAFTA winner) and Ewan Mitchell

This powerful ensemble brings depth to the Brontë world, filling it with nuance, tension, and aching humanity.

Renowned for her provocative storytelling and stunning visuals, Emerald Fennell directs from her original screenplay, adapting Brontë’s Gothic novel with striking boldness. Her take on Wuthering Heights is daring and unapologetic—infusing the narrative with a modern emotionality while preserving its dark romantic core.

She also co-produces through LuckyChap Entertainment alongside Josey McNamara (Oscar and BAFTA nominee) and Margot Robbie. Executive producers include Tom Ackerley and Sara Desmond.

Wuthering Heights is presented by Warner Bros. Pictures and MRC, in association with Lie Still and LuckyChap Entertainment.

Perfectly placed for Valentine’s Day, this cinematic spectacle promises a rich, emotional experience for lovers—and dreamers—everywhere.

Sensual, stormy, and soaked in atmosphere, Wuthering Heights is set to become a new classic for a new generation. Whether you’re a hopeless romantic or a Gothic soul, this tale of eternal love and bitter longing is one for the big screen.
