Testimonya ng NBI chief, magsisilbing ‘finale’ ng Article IV presentation

INIHAYAG ng House prosecution na ang testimonya ni National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag ang inaasahang magsisilbing ‘finale’ ng kanilang presentasyon sa 4th article of impeachment kaugnay sa pagbabanta umano ni Vice President Sara Duterte kina President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, at dating Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez.

“So ito po ‘yung magiging finale nitong Article IV, ang presentasyon ng House prosecution panel kay Director Matibag at ang pagbibigay po niya ng information, facts surrounding this preliminary investigation conducted by the NBI,” pahayag ni Adiong sa isang press briefing.

Sinabi naman ni Atty. Benjamin “Jay” Tolosa Jr., legal spokesperson at counsel para sa House prosecutors, na ang testimonya ni Matibag ay hindi lamang magpapatunay sa testimonya ng dalawang unang saksi, NBI Special Agent John Mark Calilung at Regional Director Jeremy Lotoc, kundi magbibigay ng bagong impormasyon sa impeachment court.

“What I can tell you is that aside from corroborating the testimony given by our two witnesses, he will be giving new important information,” ani Tolosa. 

“And I can also assure you that you wouldn’t want to miss his testimony tomorrow.”

Naiprisinta ng prosekusyon si Calilung, kaugnay sa digital evidence mula sa Nov. 23, 2024 press conference ni Duterte at ni Lotoc, na tumestigao sa ginawang imbestigasyon ng NBI at rekomendasyon nang paghahain ng criminal charges laban sa VP.
