Sa posibleng paglala ng tensiyon sa giyera… Paglikas sa mga Pinoy sa Middle East ikinakasa

NAGHAHANDA na ang Department of ­National Defense (DND) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) para sa paglikas at humanitarian mission sa mga Pilipino sa Middle East sa posibleng paglala ng tensiyon matapos mag­lunsad ng airstrikes ang Estados Unidos at Israel sa Iran.

“The Armed Forces of the Philippines stands ready to assist in humanitarian and evacuation operations, if directed,” pahayag ni DND spokesperson Asst. Sec. Arsenio Andolong.

Libu-libong mga Pilipino ang nagtatrabaho at naninirahan sa Middle East kabilang ang mga nasa household service, caregivers, engineers at mga health professionals.

“The DND and the AFP are ready to respond to probable contingencies, including possible repatriation support and crisis response coordination of Filipinos in affected countries should conditions warrant further action,” pahayag pa ni Andolong na sinabing walang direktang banta sa Pilipinas ang nasabing sigalot.
