Red carpet para lamang sa protocol; walang pageantry sa SONA

BILANG  tugon sa kahilingan ni reelected Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, gagawing simple ng Kamara ang red carpet activities para sa State of the Nation Address (SONA) ngayong taon ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos kabilang ang tradisyunal na fashion coverage at ceremonial walk-ins kasabay na rin ng matinding pagbaha sa bansa.

Sinabi ni Atty. Princess Abante, spokesperson ng kamara, na ang pagbabago ay nakapaloob sa memorandum na inisyu ni House Secretary-General Reginald Velasco sa lahat ng miyembro ng malaking kapulungan.

Ang naturang adjustments, paliwanag ni Abante ay para ipakita ang pagkakaisa sa gitna ng epekto ng pagbaha dulot ng bagyo at habagat sa maraming bahagi ng bansa.

“In view of the recent calamities affecting several regions of the country, the following adjustments will be implemented for the Opening of the 20th Congress and the State of the Nation Address on July 28, 2025,” nakalagay sa July 25 memorandum na ilagsaan ni Velasco.

Nilinaw naman ni Abante na ang “red carpet will still be laid out for official protocol, but it will no longer be a platform for ceremonial arrivals or media spectacle. There will be no staged ceremonies, no fashion coverage, and no photo setups in the red carpet area.”

Papayagan lamang ang maiksing doorstop interviews at ang lahat ng media interactions ay susunod sa standard security at accreditation procedures.

Mananatili pa rin ang formal attire tulad ng simpleng Barong Tagalog at Filipiniana.
