Proposed 2027 budget ng DOJ at MMDA aprubado ng Kamara nang walang binawas na alokasyon

TINAPOS ng House of Representatives ang deliberasyon sa proposed 2027 budget ng Department of Justice (DOJ) at Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na walang binawas o dinagdag sa kanilang mga alokasyon.

Ang DOJ at ang mga ahensiya nito ay humiling ng P43.305 billion budget sa taong 2027 para masuportahan ang imbestigasyon at prosekusyon ng mga krimen, correctional services, legal assistance, immigration enforcement, at iba pang mga kaugnay nito.

Ayon kay Quezon Rep. Keith Micah Tan, ang nag-sponsor ng budget, mahalaga na maaprubahan ang budget ng DOJ at mga ahensiya nito.

“With its many responsibilities, the proposed budget is essential in ensuring that the DOJ and its attached agencies have the personnel, facilities, technology and operational resources they need in order to effectively fulfill their respective mandates,” sinabi ni Tan. 

Batay sa DOJ budget for 2027, ang Office of the Secretary ang makakatanggap ng pinakamalaking alokasyon sa halagang P13.93 billion, sinundan ng Bureau of Corrections (BOC) sa P11.93 billion.

Ang iba pang alokasyon ay sa Public Attorney’s Officer (PAO) sa P7.10 billion, Land Registration Authority (P3.28 billion); National Bureau of Investigation (P3.03 billion); Bureau of Immigration (P2.98 billion); Office of the Solicitor General (P2.14 billion); Parole and Probation Administration (P1.25 billion); Philippine Commission on Good Government (P338.67 million); Office of the Government Corporate Counsel (P310.17 million), at P138.75 million sa Office of Alternative Dispute Resolution (OADR). 

Natapos din ang deliberasyon sa P6.56-billion budget ng MMDA para sa Fiscal Year 2027, sinabi nila Makati City Rep. Monique Yazmin Maria Lagdameo at Mandaluyong City Rep. Alexandria “Queenie” Gonzales.

Anila, ang nasabing budget ay popondohan ang mga core programs ng MMDA tulad ng solid waste management, traffic and transport management, flood mitigation and sewerage management. (VINA de GUZMAN)
