Pinas, hindi aatras sa agresibong pagkilos ng Tsina sa WPS

TINIYAK ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., na hindi aatras ang Pilipinas sa agresibong pagkilos ng Tsina sa West Philippine Sea (WPS) dahil patuloy na igigiit nito ang karapatan nasabing katubigan.

Kasunod ito ng napaulat na pinakabagong pag-atake at pag- water-cannoned ng Chinese vessels sa dalawang BFAR vessels sa Bajo de Masinloc.

“We will never instruct any of our vessels to back out. Never.. Never. But… We do not back out because natakot tayo, umatras tayo. Alam mo, i don’t know about other places but dito sa gobyernong ito hindi tayo umaatras sa laban. We don’t. We are brave, Filipinos are brave,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.

Binigyang diin pa ng Chief Executive na ang Philippine vessels sa nasabing lugar ay hindi kumikilos nang agresibo subalit ngunit tumutugon lamang sa mga probokasyon.

“We did not intensify our operations, we just respond. Hindi tayo aggressive, dumidepensa lang tayo,” aniya pa rin.

“Sinong Pinoy ang gustong magkagiyera? Sino? Kahit maghanap ka para sakin, isa. Kahit yung sundalo, kahit yung Coast Guard ayaw nila ng gulo. So, no. But at the same time we have a duty to perform and that is to defend the country,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.

“So, no, we never back down. We always continue to do… our uniformed personnel, the navy, the coast guard, the army, the marines, all of them, the air force. All of them, are pledged, they took an oath and they are doing their duty, they’re performing their mission: defend the Philippines, yun lang naman ang ginagawa nila, and we will not stop doing it.”

“We will not stop doing it. We will stop it when the threats stop. Itigil nila yung mga threat, we can all sit more safely at home and mas magiging magaan ang kalooban natin kapag mangyari… kapag ganun ang sitwasyon. Okay?,” ang winika pa rin ng Pangulo.
