PBBM, tinanggap ang pagbibitiw sa puwesto ni National Security Adviser Eduardo Año

TINANGGAP ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., ang pagbibitiw sa puwesto ni National Security Adviser Eduardo Año.
Si Año ay nagdesisyon na magretiro na mula sa public service matapos ang dekada ng patuloy na pagseserbisyo sa gobyerno at sa militar.
Papalit sa pwesto si dating Armed Forces of the Philippines chief na si Eduardo Oban Jr., na siyang hahawak ng National Security Council.
Sa press briefing sa Malakanyang, sinabi ni Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary at Palace Press Officer Claire Castro na nagpapasalamat si Pangulong Marcos kay Año para sa dedikasyon at natatanging serbisyo nito sa mga mamamayang Filipino.
“As National Security Adviser, he played a key role in strengthening our national security framework, advancing our counter terrorism and internal security efforts, and ensuring close coordination across the security sector during a period of evolving regional and global challenges,” ani Castro.
Ang liderato ni Año ay nakatulong para panatilihin ang katatagan at protektahan ang kapakanan ng mga mamamayan.
Itinalaga naman ng Pangulo si Eduardo Oban Jr. bilang kapalit ni Año.
Si Oban ay isang dating chief-of-staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines at nagtapos ng Philippine Military Academy Class of 1979. Siya ay may malawak na karanasan sa military operations, defense planning, at national security, nagsilbi rin bilang Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans, J5, at naging pinuno ng Visiting Forces Agreement Commission.
“With his depth of experience, the President is confident that Secretary Oban will provide steady and capable leadership in advancing the country’s national security priorities, and ensuring continuity in the government’s efforts to keep the nation safe and secure,” ang winika ni Castro.
