PBBM, itinutulak ang AI para sa mas ‘accessible, inclusive gov’t services’

ITINUTULAK ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang mas malawak at mas ‘inclusive access’ sa artificial intelligence (AI) habang inilunsad ng gobyerno, araw ng Lunes ang bagong AI-powered feature ng eGovPH Superapp.

Sa isang mensahe na inihatid ni Cabinet Secretary Benhur Abalos sa isinagawang ceremonial launch ng eGov AI sa Manila Hotel, sinabi ni Pangulong Marcos na ang umuusbong na mga teknolohiya ay dapat na gawing accessible sa mas maraming Fiipino at para magamit upang mapahusay ang serbisyo publiko.

“We live in a time when technology is transforming how we learn, work, and do business. Artificial intelligence, or AI in particular, offers new ways of solving problems and making everyday tasks more efficient,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.

“Hence, the government must be ready to make these technologies work for the Filipino people,” aniya pa rin.

Tinukoy ni Pangulong Marcos ang 2024 study na nagpapakita lamang na 14.9% ng mga kompanya sa mga bansa na gumagamit ng AI tools, na may adopsyon na konsentrado sa mas malaki, technology-related companies sa urban centers.

“Structural barriers and connectivity also affect businesses’ ability to adopt emerging technologies,” ang sinabi ng Pangulo.

“These realities tell us where our work must continue. We must make innovation more accessible and equip our people with the skills to use it,” dagdag na wika nito.

Binigyang diin ng Chief Executive na ang AI development ay dapat na naka-angkla sa pananagutan, seguridad at serbisyo publiko.

“That is why this administration is championing the ethical and responsible use of AI as a means to improve our services to Filipinos and create opportunities for them,” ani Pangulong Marcos.

Nauna rito, inilunsad ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ang eGov AI sa eGov Super App ngayong araw, Sept. 21

Ito ay All-in-One Government AI assistant na inilagay sa eGov Super App upang gawing mas maayos at mabilis ang mga pagtugon sa mga katanungan.

Winika ng Pagulo na ipinapakita ng plataporma kung paano magagawa ng teknolohiya na ang sersbiyo ng gobyerno ay mas maging accessible habang pinapanatili ang mga pananggalang para sa mga gumagamit.

“Every technology we introduce must ultimately serve public interests,” ayon kay Pangulong Marcos.

Dahil dito, hinikayat ni Pangulong Marcos ang mga pinoy na gamitin ang AI ng “wisely, responsibly, and ethically,” binigyang diin na ang teknolohiya ay dapat na nagko-complement, at hindi para palitan, ang paghatol ng tao.

“Always remember that technology should sharpen our judgment, not replace it. Let us use AI as a tool to make well-informed decisions without surrendering our own capacity to question, discern, and decide,” anito.

Samantala, pinasalamatan naman ng Pangulo ang government partners, stakeholders, at indibiduwal na may kinalaman sa pag-develop ng teknolohiya, sabay sabing “innovation should create opportunities for Filipinos and ensure that “no Filipino is left behind” in the digital transition.” (DARIS JOSE)
