Panukalang suspendihin ang Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA), suportado ng mambabatas 

NAGPAKITA ng suporta si Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo sa panukalang suspendihin ang Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA) ng dalawang taon upang makabawi ang mga taxpayers sa biglaang pagtaas ng buwis at iba pang singil ng gobyerno.

Tinukoy ni Quimbo ang pinagtibay na bagong Schedules of Market Values and the general property assessments sa ilalim ng House Bill No. 10808 bilang tugon sa kahirapan sa ekonomiya.

“We can modernize our property valuation system without imposing sudden and excessive burdens on Filipino families, property owners, and businesses,” paliwanag ni Quimbo.

“Tax reform must not simply be about raising revenues. It must also be about making sure that government policy does not place an unreasonable burden on ordinary Filipinos,” dagdag ng kongresista.
