MTRCB, CEAP bring early Christmas joy to children battling cancer through gift giving

THE Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), in partnership with the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP), brought early Christmas cheer to 20 children battling cancer during a special film screening on December 18 at Gateway Cineplex, Araneta City.

They watched Disney’s “Zootopia 2” and were treated with snacks.

The film is rated PG for 13 years old and below to be accompanied by a parent or a supervising adult.

Representing the MTRCB is Board Member Evylene “Bing” Advincula, who joined the activity and distributed coloring books and crayons to the children.

“We hope we were able to bring smiles to the faces of these brave children through this simple gift of love,” said MTRCB Chairperson and CEO Lala Sotto.

In addition to the film screening, the children also received noche buena food items from CEAP, as well as special gifts from the activity’s partner organizations.

The beneficiaries are under the care of Kythe, a non-profit and non-stock organization dedicated to improving the quality of life among hospitalized children with cancer and other chronic illnesses.
