Nagbigay na rin ng opinyon sa ‘halfies issue’…PIA, ipinagdiinang proud na proud sa pagiging Filipino (ni: ROHN ROMULO) 

HINDI na rin napigilan ni Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wirtzbach ang magbigay ng kanyang opinyon tungkol sa “halfies” issue sa pageantry world. 

Sa kanyang Facebook post nitong Biyernes, June 12, sinabi ng beauty queen-actress na hindi nasusukat ang identity ng isang tao sa lugar kung saan siya ipinanganak.

“I have always believed that identity isn’t measured by where you were born, how you look, or how others see you,” say ni Queen Pia.

Pagpapatuloy niya, “It’s shaped by the values you carry, the roots you honor, the love you have for where you come from, and the pride you feel whenever you see our flag represented anywhere in the world. “

Diin pa ng beauty queen, walang isang paraan sa pagiging Pilipino dahil… 

“There is no single way to be Filipino. We each carry that connection in our own way…through our experiences, our families, and the values that bring us home,” paniwala pa ni Pia.

“Today, I’m celebrating that connection and everything it means to me. I hope you are too.

“Proud to be Filipino. Always,” pagtatapos ni Pia. 

Nag-ugat ang “halfies” issue dahil, sanaging pahayag ng Filipino-American pageant titleholders na sina Brandon Espiritu at Jether Palomo.

Samantala, nag-sorry na si Brandon noong June 10, 2026 matapos na i-bash ng netizens.

Kasunod nito ay tuluyan nang nag-deactivate ng social media pages ang kontrobersyal na si Brandon, at biglang pagbaba ng social media followers niya dahil sa sobrang inis at galit ng mga Pinoy.
