August 6 – Materialists (Columbia Pictures)

A young, ambitious New York City matchmaker finds herself torn between the perfect match and her imperfect ex in “Materialists.” The film is directed by Celine Song, who was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay for her directorial debut, “Past Lives.”

August 6 – Weapons (Warner Bros. Pictures)

Cast: Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich

Directed by: Zach Cregger

From New Line Cinema and Zach Cregger, the wholly original mind behind “Barbarian,” comes a new horror/thriller: “Weapons.” When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.

August 13 – The Naked Gun (Paramount Pictures)

Directed by: Akiva Schaffer

Only one man has the particular set of skills… to lead Police Squad and save the world! Lt. Frank Drebin Jr. (Liam Neeson) follows in his father’s footsteps in “The Naked Gun,” directed by Akiva Schaffer (“Saturday Night Live,” “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping”) and from producer Seth MacFarlane (“Ted,” “Family Guy”). August 13 – Nobody 2 (Universal Pictures)

Cast: Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, RZA, Christopher Lloyd, Sharon Stone

Directed by: Timo Tjahjanto

Nobody ruins his vacation. Bob Odenkirk (“Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul”) returns as family man and assassin Hutch Mansell in “Nobody 2,” the new chapter to the 2021 hit action thriller.
