‘Hulihin na’: Apollo Quiboloy ipinaaaresto ng Senate committee

INIREKOMENDA na ng Senate committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality na ipaaresto ang religious leader na si Apollo Quiboloy dahil sa patuloy na pag-isnab sa mga pagdinig kaugnay ng reklamong pang-aabuso sa miyebro.

Ito ang binasa ni committee chair Sen. Risa Hontiveros sa kanyang opening statement ngayong Martes sa pag-asang makunan siya ng tesimonya.

“Pursuant to Section 18 of the Rules of the Senate, as chair of the Committee, with the concurrence of one member here with me, I cite in contempt APOLLO CARREON QUIBOLOY for his refusal to be sworn or to testify before this investigation,” wika ni Hontiveros.

“This committee requests the Senate President [Juan Miguel Zubiri] to order his arrest so that he may be brought to testify.”

Ipinapa-subpoena ng Senado at Kamara si Quiboloy — na nag-aasang “Appointed Son of God” — kaugnay ng diumano’y reklamong sexual abuse at franchise violations ng kanyang Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI). (Daris Jose)
