DND Chief Faustino, nagbitiw sa puwesto; Galvez humalili

TINANGGAP na ni Pa­ngulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang pagbibitiw sa puwesto ni Department of National Defense (DND) officer-in-charge Senior Usec. Jose Faustino Jr.

Ito ang inihayag ni Press Secretary OIC Cheloy Garafil. Walang ibinigay na dahilan si Garafil sa pagbibitiw ni Faustino.

Inalok naman kay Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. ang nasabing posisyon bilang hepe ng DND.

Tinanggap naman daw ito ni Secretary Galvez.

“It is with deep regret that the President has accepted the resignation of DND OIC Sr. Usec. Jose Faustino Jr.  The President has offered the position of DND Secretary to Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. and he has accepted,” ayon kay Garafil.

Dati nang nagsilbi si Galvez bilang Chief of Staff ng Armed Forces of the Philippines at Chief Implementer ng National Task Force laban sa Covid-19.

Wala pang kumpirmasyon sa Malacañang tungkol sa ulat na may iba pang opisyal ng DND ang nagbitiw sa puwesto.

Si Galvez ay nagsilbi sa ilalim ng Duterte Administration bilang Vaccine Czar noong kasagsagan ng COVID-19 pandemic sa bansa. (Daris Jose)
