Mga golfer marami ng torneo sa 2021

SINALUDUHAN ng Games and Amusements Board  (GAB) ang una sa dalawang torneo ng Philippine Golf Tour (PGT) sa restart mula sa eight-month stop dahil sa Covid-19 at hinimok ang mas maraming kompetisyon ng sport sa taong 2021.

Base ito sa ulat na nakarating kay GAB chairman Abraham Kahlil Mitra mula sa Pro-Basketball and Other Pro-Games Division.

Ayon sa ahensya, sumunod ang Pilipinas Golf Tournaments Inc. (PGTI) sa mahigpit na Department of Health (DOH)-Philippine Sports Commission-(PSC)-GAB Joint Administrative Order health and safety protocols sa ICTSI Riviera Invitational Challenge tatlong linggo na ang nakalilipas sa Riviera Golf and Country Club-Couples course sa Silang, Cavite.

“With the successful conclusion of the pro golf tournament organized by PGTI under the GAB supervision in compliance with the DOH-PSC-GAB JAO No. 2020-0001, it is noted that pro golf is back and more upcoming tournaments be allowed,” pahayag ng GAB Biyernes.

Hinirit na naging maayos at ligtas ang bubble tourney mula sa Bayleaf Hotel-Cavite hanggang RGCC-Couples. Mayroon ding RT-PCR tests sa players, at personnel kabilang ang GAB staff-on-duty.

“Health and safety protocols were implemented strictly in the hotel and golf course,” batay pa rin sa ulat ng GAB.

Mayroon ding Antigen tests sa lahat nagtse-check-in sa hotel kaya walang nag-positibo sa lahat hanggang  sa matapos ang torneo.

Sina Antonio ‘Tony’ Lascuña, Jr. at Princess Mary Superal ang naghari’t reyna sa PGT at Ladies Philippine Golf Tour (LPGT).

Hangad nilang mawalis ang kasunod na paligsahan, ang ICTSI Riviera Championship sa Disyembre 8-11 (men’s division) at Dis. 8-10 (women’s division) sa RGCC-Langer course.
