2027 national budget, tuloy ang deliberasyon ng Kamara sa kabila ng impeachment trial 

TULOY ang magiging deliberasyon ng Kamara sa panukalang 2027 national budget sa kabila ng nagaganap na impeachment trial ni Bise Presidente Sara Duterte sa senado.

Ang paniniguro ay ginawa ni House Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” A. Marcos kahapon habang naghahanda sa inaasahang isusumiteng National Expenditure Program (NEP).

“Wala naman ‘yung impeachment sa Lower House. We will continue doing our job. So to answer your question, I don’t think it will affect, at least I can only speak on behalf of the Lower House. It will not affect what we have to do and what needs to be done,” pahayag ni Marcos sa isang ambush interview.

Sa ilalim ng taunang proseso ng budget, isusumite ng ehekutibo ang NEP sa kongreso bilang basehan para sa General Appropriations Bill (GAB), kung saan rerebyuhin ito ng House Committee on Appropriations bago magsagawa ng agency-level hearings.

“As you know, the budget is the single most important piece of legislation for both the House and the Senate,” pahayag ni Marcos.

Sinabi pa ng majority leader na inaasahan na isusumite ng Marcos administration ang panukalang badyet ngayong darating na Agosto.

“You are right, now we are expecting the NEP to be turned over sometime next month, hopefully not too late, but hopefully the NEP turnover will be sometime in August. Then we can proceed with the budget briefings,” paliwanang ni Marcos.
