3,000 benepisyaryo nakiisa sa NHA PEOPLE’S CARAVAN

NAGHATID ng pag-asa at iba’t ibang serbisyo ang National Housing Authority (NHA) sa Negros Occidental sa pamamagitan ng People’s Caravan: “Serbisyong Dala ay Pag-asa” na ginanap sa Pahanocoy Sites and Services Project, Brgy. Pahanocoy Gymnasium, NHA Phase 2, Bacolod City.

Humigit-kumulang 3,000 Negrense ang lumahok sa nasabing kaganapan. Ang caravan na isang priority project ni NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai, ay naglalayong mailapit ang mga mahahalagang programa at serbisyo ng iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan at pribadong sektor sa mga benepisyaryo ng mga resettlement site ng ahensya.

Isa sa mga highlight ng kaganapan ang pagbibigay ng Transfer Certificates of Title (TCTs) sa tatlong benepisyaryo mula sa Pahanocoy Sites and Services Project, kasama ang 40 lot titles para sa mga awardee ng AFP/PNP Housing Project.

Kabilang sa mga ahensyang nagbigay ng kanilang mga serbisyo at produkto ay ang Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-PhilSys, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Philippine National Police (PNP), PAG-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Philippine National Police (PNP) para sa basic member/profile registration at clearance services.

Nag-alok din ang caravan ng medical at dental mission na may libreng eye check-up, gupit, tuli, at pamamahagi ng gamot / bitamina at salamin mula sa Department of Health (DOH), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), at Sugralandia Lions Club.

Nagbenta ang Department of Agriculture (DA), sa pamamagitan ng KADIWA stores at sa tulong ng Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI), ng sariwa at murang produktong agrikultural na may kasamang pamamahagi ng libreng buto at punla.

Nagkaroon din ng isang job fair na pinangunahan ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Public Employment Service Office (PESO) para sa lokal na trabaho at Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) para sa mga trabaho sa ibang bansa. Samantala, nagbigay ng information drive ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) tungkol sa scholarship at skills training, ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) para sa business counseling at business permit registration, at ang Department of Social and Welfare Development (DSWD) para sa Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) orientation.

Kasama rin sa iba pang serbisyo ay ang libreng Wi-Fi coverage at pagpapakilala ng eGov Superapp at PNPKI Digital Certificate ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), donasyon ng mga pre-loved na damit at laruan mula sa Philippine Air Force (PAF), at media coverage na inihandog ng Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 6.

Mula nang nagsimula ito noong Setyembre 2023, ang NHA People’s Caravan ay nasa ika-29 na leg na nito, na isang malaking indikasyon sa pagbibigay-diin ng ahensya ng pangako nito na bumuo ng sustainable communities para sa Bagong Pilipinas. (PAUL JOHN REYES)

DOH inilunsad ‘Alas Kwatro Kontra Mosquito’

KAHIT bumaba na ang kaso ng dengue nitong mga nakaraang buwan ay ipinaalala ng Department of Health (DOH) na kailangang magtuluy-tuloy ang epektibong dengue prevention measure na “Alas Kwatro Kontra Mosquito” mula sa mga komunidad papunta sa mga eskwelahan lalo na ngayong tag-ulan.

Inumpisahan ng DOH ang kampanyang Alas Kwatro Kontra Mosquito sa Antipolo National High School bilang hudyat sa pagsasagawa ng Taob, Taktak, Tuyo, at Takip sa mga paaralan sa Pilipinas para walang pamahayan ang lamok na Aedes lalo na ngayong tag-ulan.

“Kailangang magtuluy-tuloy ang nasimulan natin sa dengue prevention.Kailangang gawin ang Taob, Taktak, Tuyo, Takip mula sa mga bahay hanggang sa mga barangay at pati sa mga eskwelahan dahil ang lamok ay lumilipat ng tirahan. Madalas nakikita natin ang pagtaas sa kaso ng dengue kapag maulan. We have to prevent this by intensifying vector control,” pahayag ni DOH Secretary Teodoro Herbosa.

Mula Enero hanggang Hunyo 2025, umabot sa 123,291 ang mga Pilipinong nagkaroon ng dengue na pinakamaraming pasyente ay nasa edad 5 hanggang 9 na umabot sa bilang na 27,358.

Sa kabila ng mga kasong naitala, nananatiling mababa ang case fatality rate ng dengue na nasa 0.4%. Ibig sabihin 4 sa 1000 pasyente ang nasasawi sa nasabing sakit.

HINDI itinanggi ni Kylie Padilla na nakikipag-date siya.

Although, hindi na niya nilinaw yung salita niyang “we dated” kung hanggang ngayon ba.

Naglabasan ang mga photos na kasama niya si Tattoo guy. Natatawang sagot naman niya, “Ah, si Tattoo Guy, we dated, yeah, we dated.”

Dahil ‘we dated,’ tapos na?

“Secret,” natawa niyang sagot.

Masaya ba ang puso niya ngayon?

“Happy naman ako, very grateful lalo na sa trabaho, buhay ang mga anak ko.”

Sa dalawang anak pa lang daw niya na sina Alas at Axl, talagang nakukuha na ang oras niya sa pagpapalaki sa mga ito.

Sinagot naman ni AZ ang lahat ng binato sa kanya, pero siyempre, mas nagkaroon ng tila negative impression sa kanya ang mga netizens.

Nang malamang na-damage ang bike frame: ALDEN, sobrang bad trip kaya napa-shout out sa airline

NAGLABAS ng sama ng loob si Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards matapos na malamang na-damage ang bike frame sa loob ng eroplanong sinakyan pauwi ng Pilipinas.

At dahil sa sobrang pagka-bad trip at napa-shoutout ang award-winning actor sa kanyang Instagram at Facebook sa isang airline company para iparating ang nangyari sa kanyang bike.

Kahapon, June 23, ipinost nga ni Alden ang larawan ng bike frame na makikitang may crack na.

“This is very upsetting,” caption ng Kapuso actor sa kanyang post.

“Shoutout to [Cathay Pacific] for fracturing my bike frame and unloading my bikebox and bike rack on my home to the Philippines,” say ni Alden.

Dagdag pa niya, “Please do something about this.”

Marami naman ang nag-comment sa post ni Alden at nakaka-relate daw sikla sa naturang pangyayari.

Samantala, nakarating ito na sa Cathay Pacific at ayon sa kanilang representative, under investigation na ang nangyari sa bike frame ng aktor.

SPEEd nag-donate sa isa sa pinakamatandang simbahan, naghatid ng pasalubong sa mga bata sa Kalayaan

Entertainment Editors), samahan ng mga entertainment editor sa Pilipinas, na binubuo ng mga current at former entertainment editors ng mga leading broadsheet, top tabloid newspaper at online portals, sa pinaka-matandang simbahan sa Laguna at humigit-kumulang na 150 kabataan sa ginanap na ‘SPEED Cares Outreach Program’ nu’ng Linggo, Hunyo 22, sa Longos, Laguna.

Ang Saint John the Baptist Parish Church, na kilala bilang Longos Church, ay ang pinakamatandang simbahang Katoliko sa bayan ng Kalayaan sa Laguna. Sa kalukuyan ay 355 years old na ito na tuluy-tuloy ang isinasagawang restoration at pagpapaganda.

Nagbalik-tanaw sa kanyang mahabang tribute: MONIQUE, labis na nalungkot sa pagpanaw ng actor-singer na si COCOY

SA pagpanaw ng theater and film actor-singer na si Victor “Cocoy” Laurel noong June 14, isa sa labis na nalungkot ay ang theater and film actress-singer na si Monique Wilson.

Sa official Facebook page ni Monique nitong June 18, nag-post ito ng mahabang tribute para kay Cocoy na noong baby pa lang daw siya ay kinarga na siya nito.

Kinuwento rin ng 55-year old actress-singer na naging extra siya sa isang pelikula ni Cocoy at sa bahay ng mga Laurel siya na-discover para maging miyembro ng Repertory Philippines.

“I first met you when I was a baby. When you held me in your arms.

“As a toddler I was an extra in your film Ophelia at Paris where my mom said I refused to walk in the mud for the scene.

“I grew up in the Laurel home on Shaw Blvd. It was there, later on when I was 9, when Tito Freddie (Santos) placed me on top of the grand piano and asked me to sing, and you played for me.

“Encouraging me all the way. Tita Bibot (Amador) and Tita Baby (Barredo) were there and that started my life in the theatre with Repertory Philippines.”

Sa 1973 film na “Ophelia At Paris” ay nakatambal ni Cocoy si Vilma Santos. Produced ito ni Cocoy under Victor Laurel Productions at ang direktor ay ang ina niyang si Celia Diaz-Laurel.

Nagkasama rin sina Monique at Cocoy sa original London cast ng “Miss Saigon” in 1989 with Lea Salonga, Isay Alvarez, Pinky Amador, Junix Inocian, Jon Jon Briones, Jenine Desiderio and Robert Sena.

Monique played Mimi at understudy ni Lea as Kim sa Miss Saigon. Hanggang sa maging fulltime Kim na siya when Lea went on Broadway for Miss Saigon in 1991.

Pagpapatuloy ni Monique: “From that age, up until I was 19 when we both flew to London as part of the original West End cast of “Miss Saigon”, we spent many many hours, years, moments (birthdays, Christmas Eves, campaigns, Sunday dinners) at that same grand piano in your home, singing together. Even when there was no occasion, as soon you saw me, you ran to the piano so we could sing together.”

Nag-reminisce din si Monique sa iba pang theater musicals na pinagsamahan nila ni Cocoy through the years.

“Before London there was Rep. I remember us in “A Chorus Line” together when I was 14. Then what a thrill it was when I was 15 to play the mistress in Evita (and you as Che Guevara) and get to sing “Another Suitcase In Another Hall” with you onstage. Then our years in London together – another memory I’ve held close is your first ever performance as the Engineer, and how lucky I was to be playing Kim that night. And after the West End, all the concerts we did together. You were my special guest in my first concert when I was 22. And you were my special guest again at my 25th anniversary concert when I was 35.

“I recollect the specific ages now because I realize that for the first 35 years of my life, you were there. Not just onstage, but also in our beloved Matabungkay – our family homes so close to each other, we spent Easter and Christmas and summer breaks

together, always singing. And then from the age of 15 up, our shared life in the theatre, in concerts and shows, where we sang together all the time.”

Matagal din daw na hindi nakasama ni Monique si Cocoy. Huli pa raw silang nagsama sa stage ay noong 2017 pa sa 50th anniversary ng Repertory Philippines.

“Over the years we didn’t get to see each other that much. But again I was grateful to be able to share the stage one last time with you at Rep’s 50th anniversary show eight years ago. What an amazing shared history we have. And I have cherished and treasured every moment of it.

“Fly high my beloved Cocoy. Sing and soar with the angels. Because you have always been one of them. The kindest, purest heart and most glorious human being and artist that I have ever known. Thank you for your voice, your art, and your heart.”

HINDI man sila ang tinanghal na Big 4, pero ang mga evicted Kapuso housemates na sina Vince Maristela, Josh Ford, and Michael Sager, malaki ang nabago sa buhay nila dahil sa “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition.”

The male Kapuso housemates shared that they were pleasantly surprised by the warm reception they received from the public sa paglabas nila sa Pinoy Big Brother house.

Vince Maristela, who was evicted last month alongside Kapamilya actress Xyriel Manabat, namangha sa rami ng taong sumalubong sa kanya sa outside world.

“Ako po talaga, sobrang na-overwhelm ako ‘yung sumalubong sa akin sa outside world. Hala, ganito na pala ‘yung mga taong nagmamahal sa akin. Dati, nakikilala ako as my role sa mga teleserye, ngayon kilala na nila ako as Vince Maristela.”

Josh Ford, who was evicted alongside Kapamilya actor Ralph De Leon in May said na mas nagkaroon siya ng confidence after the eviction.

“Ako po ‘yung pinaka hindi kilala sa aming lahat, self-esteem ko sobrang baba po. Parang kinukumpara ko po ‘yung sarili ko sa kanilang lahat, ‘yung parang walang masyadong sumusuporta sa akin, wala akong masyadong fans. Grabe, as in. Yung emotion ko talaga sa paglabas, I was so struck sa pagmamahal na ibinigay nila sa akin.”

Meanwhile, Michael Sager, who was evicted in April alongside Kapamilya actor Emilio Daez, said that the warm reception ay ang tanging kailangan niya sa panahon na iyon.

“Nung narinig ko ‘yung names na china-chat nila, Team MiLi, ‘yung may malaking board, tapos ‘We love you Michael!’ Those were the words I needed the most at that time.”

KINORONAHAN bilang 2025 NBA Champion ang Oklahoma City Thunder.

Nagawa ng Thunder na patumbahin ang Pacers sa Game 7, 103-91, sa pangunguna ni Shai Gilgeous-Alexander na kumamada ng 29 points, 12 assists, at limang rebounds sa loob ng 40 mins na paglalaro.

Sinamantala ng koponan ang injury ni Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton upang duminahin ang laban, lalo na sa 3rd quarter kung saan gumawa ang 2025 NBA Champion ng 34-20 run.
