8 lungsod sa National Capital Region makakaranas ng water service interruption

NAGPAALALA ang Maynilad Water Services, Inc. sa walong lungsod sa National Capital Region (NCR) na maaaring makaranas ng water service interruption mula Oktubre 12 -16.

Sinabi ng Maynilad na ang service interruption ay magaganap araw-araw sa mga nasabing petsa mula 9 a.m. hanggang 11 p.m. sa ilang barangay sa Caloocan, Malabon, Las Pinas, Manila, Makati, Paranaque, Pasay at Quezon City dahil sa mataas na pangangailangan ng tubig sa Bagbag Reservoir nito.

Dagdag pa ng Maynilad na ang mga mobile water tanker nito ay ipapakalat sa mga apektadong lugar para maghatid ng maiinom na tubig.

Naka-install din ang mga stationary tank sa ilang lugar.

Dahil dito, hinihikayat ng ahensiya ang mga apektadong customer na mag-imbak ng sapat na tubig kapag may supply.

Sa pagpapatuloy ng water service, hayaan ang tubig na dumaloy saglit hanggang sa ito ay maalis. (Daris Jose)

SUMAGOT at nagpasalamat si Angelica Panganiban sa tweet ng isang netizen na kung tinawag siyang ‘santa’.

Ayon sa tweet ni @mckmaquino, “Santa Angge, ang patron ng mga tanga sa pag-ibig, finally, nanalo na sa pag-ibig. Congrats! Prayer reveal naman dyan @angelica_114 😂 #SanaAll.”

Sagot naman ni Angge, “Salamat 🤭 hintayin mo lang, at titila rin ang ulan ng kamalasan. Tiwala, manalig at manatiling mabuting tao kahit ano pa sabihin nila tungkol sayo ☺️”

Nakisawsaw naman ang mga marites nang mabasa ang sagot ni Angelica at iba-iba nga ang kanilang naging opinyon…

‘Wonder Woman 3’ Massive Update, A Big Relief For DCEU Fans

A massive update about the upcoming Wonder Woman 3 film should come as a big relief for followers of the DC Extended Universe.

DC has caused plenty of division among viewers in the past couple of years. From calls to restore the SnyderVerse to the cancelation of the Batgirl movie, The DC movie universe has been somewhat unreliable.

However, throughout this time, Wonder Woman has been a singular constant in the DC movies. Even with the split reception to Wonder Woman 1984, the character of Diana Prince continues to be a staple of the DCEU as it transitions to a new phase.

Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins has confirmed that the Wonder Woman 3 script is completed. This news should be a big relief to some, as it shows that DC might have their movie slate more intact than it might have appeared. It is unknown when Wonder Woman 3 will release, but the completion of the script suggests that the movie will be hitting theaters sooner rather than later.

With the surprise script completion, it is possible that DC will shifts its focus to getting the movie made and replace it with one of the other projects in the current release schedule that has seen consistent delays.

Continuity in the DC universe has been scarce. Batman’s appearance in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, confirmed by Jason Momoa himself, has caused confusion over whether Ben Affleck or Michael Keaton will be the universe’s Batman going forward.

Henry Cavill’s Superman, the flagship character of the DC universe, hasn’t appeared in a new movie in five years now, instead appearing in new releases as a headless body or a silhouette. Additionally, controversy around Ezra Miller has brought more complications and delays to The Flash movie.

Wonder Woman 3 can serve as a solid constant for the DCEU going forward. Even with the divided reception to Wonder Woman 1984, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman remains one of the most popular characters in the DCEU. Bringing the character back into the fold sooner than expected could ease audiences’ concerns over the uncertainty surrounding the fates of many fan-favorite characters.

Not much is known about what the completed Wonder Woman 3 script entails, but there are endless possibilities for the story Patty Jenkins might tell with the third film. Wonder Woman 1984’s mid-credits scene revealed Lynda Carter (who played Wonder Woman in the iconic TV series) as the Amazonian Asteria living in hiding among humanity.

It is likely that Wonder Woman 3 will continue with this reveal and involve Lynda Carter’s character in the story. Wonder Woman 3 taking place in the modern day would also be a helpful change for stability in the DCEU.

With Diana fighting crime in the present, the movie can tie the character back into the larger universe and set up where the DCEU is going. As a bonus, a modern-day story about Wonder Woman can include Justice League members, or at least allude to what other Justice League members are doing, teasing characters’ futures and creating excitement over a shared universe and possible team-ups again.

Wonder Woman 3’s script is complete and the thought of having the movie sooner than expected should cause excitement for the future of the DC Extended Universe. Streamlining Wonder Woman 3’s production can send a message that the DC movie slate is stable once again and that there is a clear vision for the universe’s future.

With no solo films for Batman or Superman currently announced, Wonder Woman 3 is DC’s best option to steady the inconsistency of their movie slate with a member of the Justice League’s big three leading the way. (source: screenrant.com)

‘Pagkakaroon ng multiple simcard ng isang tao, hindi ipinagbabawal’

MAAARI pa ring magmay-ari ng maraming simcards ang isang indibidwal.

Ito ang sinabi ni Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Secretary Ivan John Uy kaugnay ng ipatutupad na bagong Simcard Registration Act.

Aminado si Uy na may mga lugar na walang signal o mahina ang signal ng isang telecommunication company kaya yung may malakas na signal na sim card ang siyang ginagamit.

Kaya maaari aniyang magkaroon ng maraming simcard ang isang indibidwal basta ang lahat ng ito ay nakarehistro sa kaniyang pangalan.

Sinabi ni Uy na wala namang nakasaad sa batas na bawal magkaroon ng maraming simcard ang isang indibidwal, basta ito ay kilala o rehistrado at hindi ginagamit sa iligal na gawain. (Daris Jose)

PUMIRMA ng endorsement deal sa sports apparel na Nike ang panganay na anak ni Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James na si Bronny.

Isa lamang si Bronny sa limang amateur basketball players na pumirma ng endorsement deals.

Una naging bahagi si Bronny ng Nike marketing ng pinakabagong sneakers na Nike LeBron 20.

Hindi naman binanggit dito kung magkano ang halaga ng nasabing kontrata.

Ang NBA star pumirma ng lifetime Nike deal noon pang 2015.

Tatlong mga babae ang pumirma sa kontrata na sina JuJu Watkins mula sa Sierra Canyon ; Caitlin Clark ng University of Iowa; Haley Jones ng Standford at ang pang-lima ay si D.J. Wagner ng New Jersey high school.

National Privacy Commission, suportado ang SIM card registration bill

SUPORTADO ng National Privacy Commission (NPC) ang rekomendasyong pagpapasa ng SIM Card registration bill sa bansa na tanging lagda na lamang ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang hinihintay.

Sa isang statement ay sinabi ng komisyon na ito ay upang maiwasan ang paglaganap ng iba’t-ibang uri ng kriminalidad na isinasagawa sa pamamagitan ng electronic communication.

Ayon sa NPC, batid nito na talagang kakailanganin ng malakihang koleksyon ng personal data sa pagpapatupad ng SIM card registration system dahilan kung bakit anila kinakailagan talaga ang pagkakaroon ng technology-neutral approach at future-proof na proposed legistlation upang makamit ang layunin nito sa paraang pinapanatili pa rin ang paggalang sa mga karapatan at kalayaan ng mga data subjects.

Dagdag pa ng ahensiya, hindi dapat na mapunta pa sa mga retailer ang pasanin nang pagtukoy sa pagkakakilanlan ng mga SIM card buyer lalo na’t wala naman itong kaalaman o maayos na mapagkukunan ng datos para ma-verify ang identity ng data subjects at authenticity ng identification cards na ipapakita nito.

Ito ay dahil sa posible anilang magresulta lamang sa overcollection at hindi wasto o hindi sapat na monitoring at security practices, bagay na pinagtibay naman ng Section 5 ng naturang Bill.

Bukod dito ay sinabi rin ng NPC na hindi rin nito hinihikayat ang paggamit ng centralized server o database dahil naman sa posibilidad na magdulot ito ng malaking panganib sa oras na may mangyaring security breach dito.

Pinagtibay naman ito ng Section 6 ng naturang Bill na nag-aatas naman sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno o public telecommunications entities (PTES) na panatilihin ang paggamit ng kanilang database sa pagpo-proseso, activate, deactivate o subscription ng mga SIM card.

Samantala, sa ngayon ay inaasahan nang malalagdaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang naturang bill matapos itong ipasa ng dalawang chamber ng Kongreso.

Habang tiniyak naman ng privacy commission na mahigpit din itong nakikipag-ugnayan sa mga ahensya ng gobyerno para naman sa pagbuo ng mga guidelines sa pagpapatupad ng panukalang batas sakaling maaprubahan na ito ng punong ehekutibo.

Pacquiao balik-ensayo para sa exhibition match

BALIK-ENSAYO na si eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao para paghandaan ang exhibition match nito kay Korean YouTuber DK Yoo na idaraos sa Disyembre 10 sa South Korea.

Bagama’t isang exhibition match lamang ito, nais pa rin ni Pacquiao na buhusan ng oras ang paghanda para dito dahil hindi biro sumalang sa isang boxing fight.

Kaya naman hangad ni Pacquiao na mapanatiling mataas ang kundisyon ng pangangatawan nito upang masiguro na handa ito sa laban bago tumulak patungong South Korea.

Sa isang video, sumalang si Pacquiao sa ilang training session sa gym nito sa General Santos City.

Kitang-kita ang bagsik at lakas ng kamao nito sa bawat suntok na binibitawan nito.

Pinaghahandaan ni Pacquiao ang laban na tatawaging 2022 Special Boxing Match Pacman vs DK Yoo.

Excited na si Yoo na makasagupa ang isang boxing legend na tulad ni Pacquiao.

“For special match with Pacquiao,” ani Yoo sa kanyang naunang post.

Kailangan ding paghandaan ni Pacquiao ang laban dahil hindi rin birong kalaban si Yoo dahil may experience ito sa martial arts.

Si Yoo ay isang sports and fitness instructor at founder ng Warfare Combat System.

Kaya naman posibleng makapagbigay ito ng magandang laban kay Pacquiao.

Retirado na sa professional boxing si Pacquiao kung saan huli itong nasilayan sa aksyon noong Agosto.

Mas mabigat na parusa at multa sa paglabag sa OSH law

MATAPOS ang naganap na pagbagsak ng scaffolding sa Quezon City na ikinasawi ng isang trabahador, hiniling ng women workers group ang pagpataw ng mas mabigat na parusa at multa sa mga lababag sa Occupational Safety Health (OSH) law.

Tanong ng Kilusan ng Manggagawang Kababaihan (KMK) kung ilan pang manggagawa ang masasawi sa trabaho bago panagutin ang mga kumpanya na nagpabaya sa kanilang trabahador.

Matatandaan na isa ang nasawi at sampu ang sugatang trabahador matapos bumigay ang scaffolding sa construction site na kanilang pinagtatrabahuan sa Sto. Cristo Street, Barangay Balingasa, Quezon City nitong Martes.

Ayon sa KMK, dapat na imbestigahan ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) at Quezon city government ang aksidente upang madetermina ang pananagutan ng kumpanya at kung mayroon umanong posibilidad na pagbabaya sa insidente.

Dapat ding alamin kung naglaan ang kumpanya ng safety seminars at training sa manggagawa upang madagdagan ang kamalayan ng mga ito ukol sa occupational hazards sa kanilang trabaho at mabawasan ang panganib sa lugar ng trabaho.

Gayundin, nararapat ding magsagawa ng imbestigasyon kung nagawa pang tuparin ng kumpanya ang kanilang mandato sa ilalim ng batas sa pagbibigay ng mga kaukulang personal protective equipment (PPE) sa kanilang trabahador.

Pinaalalahanan din ng KMK ang gobyerno na siguruhin na ang mga apektadong manggagawa na natigil sa kanilang trabaho habang nagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon ay patuloy na makakatanggap ng sahod. (Daris Jose)
