Batas na maghahati sa QC barangay sa 3, “nag-lapse into law”

“NAG-LAPSED into law’ ang isang batas na maghahati sa Barangay Pasong Putik sa Quezon City sa tatlong “distinct and independent barangays” na walang pirma si Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

Sa bisa ng Republic Act No. (RA) 11803, mahahati ang Barangay Pasong Putik sa Barangay Pasong Putik Proper, Barangay Greater Lagro, at Barangay North Fairview.

Ang Barangay Pasong Putik Proper “is bounded on the North by Caloocan City and Quezon City boundary; on the East by Belfast Street, Caloocan City and Quezon City boundary; on the west by Kaligayahan/New Haven and Teresa Heights boundary; and on the South by Quirino Highway, Mindanao Avenue.”

Ang Barangay Greater Lagro “is bounded on the North by Quirino Highway; on the East by the MWSS Reservoir; on the west by Belfast Street, Mindanao Avenue, Barangay Sta. Monica and Barangay Pasong Putik Boundary; and on the South by a creek, D.B.T. Marbay/Lagro Subdivision boundary.”

Habang ang Barangay North Fairview “is bounded on the North by D.B.T. Marbay/Lagro Subdivision Boundary; on the East by Lagro Subdivision, Tullahan Creek; on the West by Barangay Sta. Monica and North Fairview Subdivision boundary; and on the South by Barangay Fairview and Tullahan Creek.”

Sa ilalim ng batas, ang plebisito na isinagawa at pinamahalaanan ng Commission on Elections ang magsisilbing substantial compliance na mayroong plebiscite requirement sa ilalim ng Seksyon 10 ng RA No. 7160 o mas kilala bilang Local Government Code of 1991.

Ipagpapatuloy naman ng mga incumbent barangay officials ng Barangay Pasong Putik Proper, Greater Lagro, at North Fairview ang kanilang tungkulin hanggang ang mga papalit sa kanila ay ihahalal at kuwalipikado.

“All public infrastructure and facilities for public use existing at the time of the approval of this act will continue to be owned and administered by the barangays created under Section 1 of this act,” ayon sa batas.

Ang mga Barangay Pasong Putik Proper, Greater Lagro, at North Fairview ay entitled “to an allotment derived from national taxes pursuant to Section 285 of RA 7160.”

Ang RA 11803, ay ipinasa ng Kongreso noong Setyembre 14, 2021, inamiyendahan ng Senado noong Enero 31, 2022, at ang ginawang pag-amyenda ay sinang-ayunan naman ng Kongreso noong Pebrero 2, 2022.

Samantala, may isa pang batas na naglalayong palitan ang pangalan ng munisipalidad ng Rodriguez sa Province of Rizal bilang Municipality of Montalban ang “lapsed into law” rin noong Hunyo 2.

Ang RA No. 11812, na nagpawalang-bisa sa Batas Pambansa Blg. 275, may pamagat na “An Act Changing the Name of the Municipality of Montalban, Province of Rizal, to the Municipality of Rodriguez”, ay nag-“lapsed into a law” noong Hunyo 2 nang walang pirma ni Pangulong Duterte.

“The renaming of the Municipality of Rodriguez as Municipality of Montalban shall be effective upon ratification of the majority of votes cast by qualified voters in a plebiscite to be conducted and supervised by the Commission on Elections in the present Municipality of Rodriguez,” ang nakasaad sa RA No. 11812, ang nagpawalang-bisa sa Batas Pambansa Blg. 275.

Ang gastos para sa plebesito ay sasagutiin ng Municipality of Rodriguez.

Ang batas ay ipinasa ng Kongreso noong Marso 17, 2021, inamiyendahan ng Senado noong Enero 31, 2022, kung saan ang inamiyenda ay sinang-ayunan ng Kongreso noong Pebrero 2, 2022.

May ilang batas ang nagtatag ng district offices ng Land Transportation Office at central multi-species marine hatcheries ang nag-“lapsed into law” din. (Daris Jose)

James Bond 26 Will Be A Reinvention After Daniel Craig’s Exit

LONGTIME James Bond producer, Barbara Broccoli, explains that the iconic 007 spy will be reinvented following Daniel Craig’s exit in No Time to Die.

Originally created in 1953 by author Ian Fleming, James Bond charmed audiences around the world in his first feature film Dr. No in 1962, starring Sean Connery as the captivating 007. The franchise eventually continued without Connery, using five additional actors in 25 films that spanned 70 years. Now, audiences are gearing up for the next chapter in the popular James Bond franchise.

No Time to Die saw the end of the Craig era in the multi-generational film series. Starting in 2006 with Casino Royale, the actor was praised for his more serious and gritty version of the seductive MI-6 agent. Craig was the face of James Bond for 15 years until the dramatic conclusion of the franchise’s latest entry.

After No Time to Die saw Craig’s Bond sacrifice himself and leave Madeleine (Léa Seydoux) and his daughter behind, the 25th Bond film’s credits included the promise “James Bond will return.”

Now, the search for the next James Bond actor is on, with Broccoli and her co-producer, Michael G. Wilson keeping the top choices for the role under wraps so far.

While speaking at a film event in London (via Deadline), Broccoli explained that EON Productions (the company behind the Bond franchise, led by Broccoli and Wilson) is looking to “reinvent” the hit action-adventure series after Craig’s exit. The producer shared that a new James Bond 26 script has yet to be written, as they must first settle on how to refocus the iconic franchise.

It makes sense that choosing a new Bond actor, as well as completing the Bond 26 script, cannot be finalized without agreeing on a direction for the franchise’s future. Craig’s run of films was, in itself, a complete reinvention of 007. Craig’s films acted as a standalone series, rebooting the character from a younger agent and taking him through to his death.

All previous versions of Bond loosely followed the same continuity, with only actors changing over the years. Although the five actors following Connery’s performance emulated the original Bond portrayal to an extent, they each added a unique quality to the character. Roger Moore was an older Bond sporting a lighter, more charming personality, while Timothy Dalton’s films saw a harder-edged 007 who wore his emotions on his sleeve. Craig’s version added trauma, but also heart, to a franchise that many had called stale up to that point.

Reinventing a franchise that has been a part of Hollywood for seven decades is certainly a challenging task. The James Bond series has taken the character all over the world, into space, and continuously changed his story. (source: screenrant.com)

PATAY na nang matagpuan si dating Camarines Sur 4th District Representative Rolando “Nonoy” Andaya Jr., 53, residente ng Saint Jude Orchard, Concepcion Grande, Naga City.

Ito rin mismo ang kinumpirmang mga anak ng biktima sa pamamagitan ng Facebook post.

Gayunman hindi binanggit ng mga ito kung ano ang ikinamatay ng ama.

Nanawagan din sila ng panalangin at bigyan din sila ng pagkakataon na pribadong ipagluksa ang naturang pangyayari.

“With deep grief and sadness, we announce the untimely death of our father, former member of the House of Representatives, Rolando “Nonoy” G. Andaya, Jr., this morning, June 30, 2022. Sa nakalap na impormasyon ng Bombo Radyo Naga sa Naga City Police Office, nabatid na nakarinig na lamang ng putok ng baril ang personal assistant nito na si John Mark Patrick Señar kung saan pagpasok nito sa loob ng kwarto ng opisyal, dito na tumambad na nakabulagta ang katawan ni Andaya.

President Marcos at VP Sara, dumalo sa misa sa unang araw ng trabaho

DUMALO kahapon ng umaga sa isang misa sina President Bongbong Marcos Jr. at Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Pumunta ang dalawa sa San Miguel Church o National Shrine of St. Michael the Archangels sa lungsod ng Maynila, kung saan naging limitado lang ang bilang ng mga dumalo sa nasabing simbahan.

Pinangunahan ito nina Cardinal Jose Advincula at Cardinal Orlando Quevedo.

Nakasuot ng working short sleeves na barong sina Marcos at Duterte sa nasabing aktibidad.

Bigla namang dumami ang mga tao sa labas ng National Shrine, makaraang mabalitaan na naroon ang dalawang pinakamataas na lider ng ating bansa.

SA kabila ng sexy image kunsaan nakilala si Ivana Alawi, inamin nito na ang pangarap niyang talaga, maging isang housewife.

Yes, ito ang inamin ni Ivana nang mag-mukbang vlog siya sa Youtube ni Dra. Vicki Belo. Biro pa ni Ivana, “since birth” ay dream na raw niyang talaga ang maging isang ganap na housewife.

Paliwanag naman ni Ivana kung bakit pagiging housewife talaga ang pangarap niya, “Feeling ko, masaya ko sa bahay. Masaya kong magluto, masaya kong magsilbi. So, nae-enjoy ko siya. Parang yung dream ko no’n, hindi siya para sa akin.”

Amir Khan ibinunyag nais ni coach Freddie Roach na pagharapin sila ni Pacquiao

IBINUNYAG ni dating boxing champion Amir Khan na tinawagan siya ni boxing coach Freddie Roach para magkaroon sila ng laban ni Manny Pacquiao.

Sinabi nito na isa sa mga kaibigan niya ang tinawagan ni Roach kung saan plano nitong magkaroon ng laban si Khan sa Filipino boxing champion.

Kapwa kasi nagsanay sina Pacquiao at Khan kay Roach kung saan naging sparring partner sila.

Huling lumaban si Pacquiao noong Agosto 2021 ng talunin siya ni Yordenis Ugas sa WBA welterweight title.

Habang ang British boxer na si Khan ay umalis sa boxing ng talunin siya ni Kell Brook noong Pebrero.

NAGPAHAYAG ng pasasalamat at pagbati sa social media ang ilang miyembro ng Senado para sa termino ni outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte.

Sinabi ni Sen. Manny Pacquiao na nanatiling matatag si Duterte sa harap ng maraming problema.

“Thank you, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, for serving our country…. You remained steadfast as you complete your term as Chief Executive of the Philippines, and we congratulate you for that.”

Nagpaabot naman ng pagbati si Former Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel para sa termino ng pangulo.

“Congratulations to President Duterte. Maraming salamat sa sakripisyo and I wish good health after his tenure as president”

Sa isang mahabang post sa Facebook, sinabi ni Sen. Bong Go na malaki ang kanyang pagbabago matapos ang anim na taon na paninilbihan kay Duterte.

“All those years of walking behind a firm leader and a compassionate public servant like President Duterte have ingrained in me the values of hard work, dedication, and sincerity in serving the Filipino people. It is no exaggeration to say that I was molded into the person I am now, largely because of PRRD.”

Sa pasasalamat naman ni Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, sinabi niya na si Duterte daw ang greatest of all time na pangulo.
