Walang inihain na reklamo ang Kamara sa Ombudsman vs VP Duterte para sa kasong plunder, malversation  

BINIGYANG  linaw ng Kamara na hindi ito naghain o nagpasimuno ng paghahain ng anumang uri ng pormal na reklamo sa Office of the Ombudsman laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte, sa kasong plunder, technical malversation at corruption.

“We have not received a copy of the said order to file a counter-affidavit. Ako, personally, I’ve learned about it through the reports, and I’ve seen it on social media,” pahayag ni House spokesperson Atty. Princess Abante.

Sinabi pa ito na sa kanyang pagkakaalam ay hindi maghahain ang Kamara o Committee on Good Government and Public Accountabilityng anumang complaint, ngunit lumalabas na inaksyunan ng Ombudsman ang rekomendasyon ng komite.

“The plenary adopted the report of the Committee on Good Government and Public Accountability on June 10. And the committee report was furnished to the Ombudsman… they received it on June 16.

So, it appears that the Ombudsman acted upon the recommendation of the committee,” pahayag pa ni Abante.

Paliwanag ni Abante na may kapangyarihan ang Ombudsman para umakto ng sarili.

“The action of the Ombudsman was upon the recommendation of a committee report from the House of Representatives. (The) Ombudsman can initiate investigations or their own. So, again it was an initiative of the Ombudsman acting upon the recommendation of the House committee,” ani Abante.
