TRAVEL RESTRICTION SA 8 BANSA HANGGANG JULY 31, TRANSITING PASSENGER HINDI KASAMA

IPINAALALA ni Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente sa mga biyehero na na ang kasalukuyang travel restrictions mula sa walong bansa ay mananatili hanggang July 31.

Ang mga bansang ito ay ang  India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, at ang United Arab Emirates.

“With the recent inclusion of Indonesia, the temporary ban now covers 8 countries,” ayon kay Morente.

Sa advisory ng BI states na lahat na nanggagaling sa walong bansa gayundin ang mga may travel history sa nasabing mga bansa sa loob ng 14 days mula ng silay dumating ay hindi papayagan na makapasok ng bansa .

“Because of this temporary travel restriction, anyone coming from said countries will be excluded, meaning they will be denied entry and returned to their port of origin immediately on the next available flight,” ayon pa sa BI Chief.

Pero klinaro ni Morente  na hindi kasama sa travel ban ang mga  transiting passengers.

“Considered transiting are passengers who were there only for a layover, and were not admitted by immigration authorities in the banned country” ayon kay Morente

Sinabi naman ni BI Port Operations Division Chief Atty. Carlos Capulong na ang extended at  expanded travel restrictions ay naipaalam na sa lahat ng airlines.

“We appreciate the assistance of the airlines in not boarding anyone coming from the 8 countries,” ani  Capulong. “Lest they be turned back which would be an added expense for the airlines,” dagdag pa nito.

Ang isang pasahero na hindi pinayagan ng BI na makapasok ay hindi pinayagan ng BI na hindi makapasok ay responsibilidad na ng airline at siguraduhin nito na ibabalik niya ang kanyang pasahero. (GENE ADSUARA)
