Tinawag na ‘Charice’ at kinumpara kay Ice: JAKE, tinalakan ang basher na nanghinayang sa kanyang boses

PINATULAN at tinalakan ni Jake Zyrus ang isang netizen na tinawag siya sa dati niyang pangalan at sinabihan na sayang ang kanyang boses.“Sayang boses mo Charice. Bakit si Ice Seguerra trans man pero never binago ang boses. Sayang talaga,” post ng basher.
Sinagot ito ni Jake ng, “first of all, with respect to my past, keep my deadname out of your silly mouth. And darling, it’s because he hasn’t taken any hormone therapy. It’s a HUGE part of being a transman.
“Maybe there are more important reasons why he hasn’t taken hormone therapy. I am not going to explain the rest because based on your comment you sound ignorant. Google is free my darling. I’m going to pin your comment because it seems like you love being center of attention.
“So let’s give it to you sweetheart. Have a nice day.”
Dagdag pagtataray pa ni Jake, “right. You support a trans, and bash another trans because of what? Birit? Yun lang? Make it make sense sis. Hater. Being a transgender is more than just singing high or low notes.”
“And the audacity of you to deadname me and properly call Ice his real name. What a joke,” lahad pa ni Jake.
Ipinagtanggol naman siya ang isang fan at nagpasalamat.
“Thank you. Trauma has removed so much of my emotions lol. For some reason I don’t feel pain no more. Completely numb. So this only mentally bothers me BUT it doesn’t ruin my day.
“Hope I’m making sense hahaha. We won’t stay quiet no more with these kinds of people. I know there’s a lot out there but she got lucky because I had a little time today,” pahayag pa ni Jake.
Wala pa naman pahayag o reaksiyon si Ice sa pagkakadamay niya sa isyu.
Muli ngang lumabas ang mga video ni ‘Charice’ after mag-trending ang “All By Myself” performance ni SB19 main vocalist Stell Ajero sa concert ni hitman David Foster sa Smart Araneta Coliseum.
May mga post na pinagkukumpara ang version ng dalawa na unang ibinirit at pinasikat ni Celine Dion.
Nag-react din ang ina ni Jake na si Raquel Pempengco at sinabing “incomparable” ang dalawa dahil magkaiba ang kanilang genres at estilo sa pag-awit; na sa totoo lang pareho silang magaling.
