Terminal fees, cargo charge, suspendihin mula ngayong Marso hanggang Hunyo

ISINUSULONG ng isang mambabatas na suspendihin muna ang ipinatutupad na airport at seaport terminal fees at cargo shipping charges mula ngayong huling linggo ng Marso hanggang Hunyo.

Nakapaloob ito sa House Resolution 907 na inihain ni Bohol (3rd District) Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor.

Sa resolution, pinasususpinde nito sa Department of Transportation, Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, at Philippine Ports Authority ang terminal fees at cargo charges.
Naniniwala ang mambabatas na ang suspension ay makakabawas sa pagtaas sa retail at wholesale price ng bilihin.
“High fuel costs can result in losses for small businesses and cash crisis for households. We are in the middle of peak travel season. Suspending the terminal fees can ease costs of travelers. Suspending cargo charges can keep businesses, especially tourism businesses, afloat during the national energy emergency,” anang mambabatas.
