PhilHealth, dapat bayaran ang P18B utang

Dapat munang bayaran ng Philippine Health Insurance Corp ang P18 bilyong reimbursement claims ng mga pribadong ospital, ayon sa mambabatas.

Batay kay Cagayan de Oro City 2nd District Rep. Rufus Rodriguez, sa datos ng Philippine Hospitals Association of the Philippines (PHAP) ay may utang ang Philhealth na P14 bilyon noong December 2018 at P4 bilyon sa katapusan ng 2019.

“This is very urgent specially because we are still facing this COVID-19 pandemic and we all need the full operations of our hospitals with the necessary medical personnel,” ani Rodriguez.

“We don’t want our hospitals to close, down scale services nor lay off medical personnel because of non payment of claims by Philheath,” saad pa nito.

Binubuo ang PHAP ng 733 ospital.

Tinatayang nasa 300 ospital na ang na-downsize ang operasyon dahil sa delay na pagbabayad ng PhilHealth at kakulangan sa tauhan. (Daris Jose)
