PETISYON NG ABS-CBN, IBINASURA NG SC

IBINASURA ng Supreme Court En Banc session,ang isinampang petition for certiorari and prohibition with appication for Temporary Restraining Order and injuction na isinampa ng ABS-CBN Corporation laban sa kautusan ng National Tele Commujication Commission (NTC).

Sa ipinalabas na resolusyon,sinabi ng SC dahil sa ginawang pagtanggi ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso sa mga nakabinbin na House bills para sa renewal ng prankisa ng ABS-CBN noong Hunyo 10,2020, wala na umanong dahilan para hindi ibasura ang petisyon ng nerwork.

“The court finds its appropiate to dismiss the case on the ground of mootness.Because of this supervening event, there is no actual substantial relief whicn ABS-CBN Corporation would be entitled to regardless of the court’s disposition of the merits of the petition,”ayon pa sa resolusyon ng SC.

Nalaman na unanimous ang naging desisyon na idismiss ang petisyon ,maliban kay Associate Justice Priscilla Baltazar-Padilla na naka leave nang magbotohan. (GENE ADSUARA)
