Pagkakaalis sa security chief ni VP Sara, walang mensahe, paliwanag-OVP

SINABI ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) na hindi ipinaalam sa kanila ang dahilan ng pagkaka-alis kay Col. Raymund Dante Lachica bilang pinuno ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Security and Protection Group, ang unit na nakatalaga para magbigay seguridad para sa second-in-command.

“The Office of the Vice President was informed of the relief of Col. Raymund Dante Lachica upon his receipt of the order yesterday, October 6, 2025,” ang nakasaad sa kalatas ng OVP.

“No message or explanation was given to the OVP,” ang mababasa pa rin sa kalatas.

Sa kabilang dako, pinasalamatan naman ng OVP si Lachica para sa kanyang serbisyo at nagbigay-pugay sa opisyal para sa kanyang “resoluteness, professionalism, and integrity.”

“The OVP expresses its sincere gratitude for the outstanding contributions made by Col. Lachica to our institution,” ang mababasa sa kalatas ng OVP.

“We have accomplished more than our targets because of his support to the vision of a life of peace and comfort for all Filipinos,” ayon pa rin sa OVP.

Nauna rito, kinumpirma ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) nitong Martes, Oktubre 7, ang pagkakasibak ni Col. Lachica bilang commander ng AFP Security and Protection Group (ASPG), na dati ay Vice President Security and Protection Group (VPSPG), kaugnay sa kinalaman umano nito sa “alleged misuse” ng confidential funds ng OVP.

Epektibo mula noong Sabado, Oktubre 4, ang reassignment ni Col. Lachica bilang miyembro ng Philippine Army. ( Daris Jose)
