Obiena may tiket na sa World meet

PASOK na si Olympian Ernest John Obiena sa World Athletics Indoor Championships at World Athletics Championships.

Ito ang inihayag ni Obiena matapos ang kanyang gold medal performance sa Orlen Cup na siyang naging tiket nito para makahirit ng puwesto sa dalawang mala­king world level competitions.

“Last night in Lodz, Poland I decided to put my adversity aside and focus on what I should be doing,” ani Obiena.

Para makuha ang ginto, nagtala si Obiena ng 5.81 metro na sapat na para magkwalipika sa World Athletics Indoor Championships at World Athletics Championships.

“I tried and I jumped 5.81m. With that leap, I got the following: season’s best, qualified for World Indoors, World Championships, the big W (win) for the Philippines,” dagdag ni Obiena.
