Natuklasang dalawang biyahero na nasa Pinas na may omicron variant, nasa quarantine facilities na –Nograles

KAPWA nasa quarantine facilities na ang dalawang byahero na tinamaan ng Omicron variant.

Sinabi ni acting Presidential Spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na ipinaalam na sa Office of the President ang dalawang kaso ng Omicron variant na natuklasan ngayon sa Pilipinas.

“As earlier reported by the Department of Health, the variant was detected among two recent travelers to the Philippines, both of whom are presently in quarantine facilities,” ayon kay Nograles.

Pinuri naman ng Malakanyang ang mga health experts, particukular na ang Department of Health, University of the Philippines – Philippine Genome Center at ang University of the Philippines – National Institutes of Health para sa maaga nilang pagkakatuklas sa dalawang kasong nabanggit.

Sa kasalukuyan, isinasagawa na ang active case finding at contact tracing para madetermina ang health condition ng mga co-passengers ng confirmed cases.

“This early detection forms part of our Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate (PDITR) strategy that has been in place all throughout the pandemic,” aniya pa rin.

Samantala, tiniyak naman ng Malakanyang sa publiko na masusing imo-monitor ng gobyerno ang developments ng dalawang kaso bunsod na rin ng umiiral na protocols,

“As we continue to remind the public not to let their guard down, to religiously observe minimum public health standards, and call upon all those unvaccinated to get their jabs as soon as possible,” aniya pa rin. (Daris Jose)
