Metro subway, maaga sa iskedyul- Malakanyang

SINABI ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na ang timetable para sa Metro Manila Subway project ay “maaga sa iskedyul”.
Inihayag ito ng Pangulo matapos pangunahan ang groundbreaking ceremony ng Kalayaan Avenue at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) stations sa Taguig City, araw ng Biyernes.
“I join with you in our optimism and excitement as we gather here for the groundbreaking of the Kalayaan Avenue and Bonifacio Global City, or BGC, stations. This segment will link the Shaw Boulevard Station, which we just came from and we inspected. I’m happy to report that the progress is proceeding and the work is proceeding, and we are very much on schedule,” ang sinabi ng Pangulo sa kanyang talumpati.
“In fact, we have accelerated the process and we are moving even more quickly than that,” aniya pa rin.
Ang Kalayaan Avenue Station ay matatagpuan sa ibaba ng 11th Avenue at Uptown open parking area, habang ang BGC Station ay makikita sa kahabaan ng McKinley Parkway, sa pagitan ng Serendra at Market! Market!.
Ayon sa Pangulo, ang BGC stations ay inaasahang makapagsasakay ng mahigit sa 200,000 pasahero kada araw sa opening year nito.
Sa oras na ang 33-kilometer subway ay naging operational, sinabi ng Pangulo na ang travel time mula Valenzuela City hanggang BGC ay mababawasan mula isa’t kalahating oras ay magiging 29 na minuto na lamang.
“This will also significantly improve airport connectivity. From Quezon City to Manila Airport, the travel time will be shortened from more than one hour to 35 minutes,” anito. ( Daris Jose)
