Malakanyang , dumistansiya sa panawagan sa Ombudsman na imbestigahan ang confidential funds ni VP Sara at ng kanyang opisina

DUMISTANSIYA ang Malakanyang mula sa panawagan para sa Office of the Ombudsman na imbestigahan ang confidential funds ni Vice President Sara Duterte at ng kaniyang opisina.
Bahala na ayon sa Malakanyang ang independent anti-graft body sa bagay na ito.
Nauna rito, nanawagan ang isang grupo kay Ombudsman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla na usisain ang nasabing pondo ng Bise Presidente mula noong 2022 hanggang 2023.
“It’s in the hands of the Office of the Ombudsman,” ang sinabi ni Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary at Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.
Mababasa naman sa Facebook post ng Tindig Pilipinas noong Lunes, Oktubre 20, ang panawagan nilang imbestigahan ni Remulla ang confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President (OVP) at ni VP Sara.
“Today we, along with different citizen impeachment complainants against the Vice President, submitted a letter to Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla, urging him to conduct a thorough investigation into the grave allegations that are the basis of the impeachment complaints filed against the Vice President,” anang Tindig Pilipinas.
“The Vice President must also fully explain how the confidential funds under the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education were used, just as we demand accountability from those involved in the ghost flood control projects that plundered the nation’s coffers,” dagdag pa nila.
Saad pa ng grupo, “We call for a comprehensive and impartial investigation – not only to uphold the rule of law, but to restore integrity and public trust in our institutions.”
Matatandaang kamakailan lamang, nagbigay din ng paglilinaw ang Ombudsman sa naisin nitong isapubliko naman ng mga politiko ang kanilang Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net worth (SALN), kaugnay sa kumakalat na usaping una umano niyang iimbestigahan ang SALN ni VP Sara.
“Ang gagawin natin d’yan sa SALN issue, hindi lang isa ‘yan, lahat ‘yan. Ire-reduct lang natin ‘yong dapat i-reduct, that’s a data privacy. Siyempre hihingi tayo sa lahat ng requesting parties undertaking na hindi gagamitin ito sa paraan na hindi makakabuti sa bayan. Kasi baka mamaya, maging political noise lang ‘yan at maging poison lang. Baka naman pag-isipan natin ulit ‘yan,” ani Remulla.
