Dizon, hiniling sa mga incumbent DOTr usec, asec, directors na magbitiw sa puwesto

ISANG malawakang balasahan ang nagbabadyang maganap sa Department of Transportation (DOTr) matapos hilingin ni (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon sa lahat ng mga incumbent officials ng departamento na magsumite ng kanilang courtesy resignations.

Sa isang memorandum na may petsang Pebrero 24, 2025, ipinag-utos Dizon sa mga incumbent undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, at directors na magsumite ng kanilang resignation letter ng hindi lalampas sa araw ng Miyerkules, Pebrero 26, 2025.

Ipinalabas ang direktiba upang mabigyan ang Kalihim ng “free hand to perform the mandate given to him by the President.”

Nauna rito, itinalaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. si Dizon bilang bagong Kalihim ng DOTr.

Papalitan ni Dizon si DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista na nagbitiw sa pwesto dahil sa isyu sa kalusugan.

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin na epektibo sa Pebrero 21, 2025 ang panunungkulan ni Dizon.

Si Dizon ay dating presidente ng Bases and Conversion Development Authority (BCDA) at COVID-19 presidential adviser.

“He is already authorized by the Office of the President to start the transition at the DOTr in coordination with the team of Secretary Jaime Bautista, who has resigned due to health reasons,” sinabi ni Bersamin sa text message sa mga mamamahayag.

Pinasalamatan naman ni Bautista si Pangulong Marcos dahil sa binigay na oportunidad sa kanya na makapagtrabaho sa gobyerno. (Daris Jose)
