DBM, aprubado ang pagpapalabas ng P3.39-B PBB para sa 225K PNP personnel

INAPRUBAHAN ng Department of Budget and Management (DBM) ang pagpapalabas ng P3.39 bilyon para bayaran ang 2023 Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) ng 225,545 kuwalipikadong opisyal at tauhan ng Philippine National Police (PNP).
Sinabi ng DBM na ang bawat isang kuwalipikadong PNP official at personnel ay makatatanggap ng PBB na may katumbas na 45.5% ng kanilang monthly basic salary, ‘as of Dec. 31, 2023.’
“Those in the First, Second, and Third Levels must have achieved at least a ‘Very Satisfactory’ rating under the Civil Service Commission-approved Strategic Performance Management System or the equivalent rating required by the Career Executive Service Board,” ang sinabi ng DBM.
Ang aprubadong budget para sa 2023 PBB para sa mga PNP officials at personnel ay huhugutin mula sa Miscellaneous Personnel Benefits Fund sa ilalim ng Republic Act 12116 o 2025 General Appropriations Act.
Ang pagbabayad ng insentibo ay pagsunod sa Final Eligibility Assessment Report na may petsang Sept. 16, 2024, mula sa Administrative Order No. 25 Inter-Agency Task Force, na nagkumpirma sa eligibility ng PNP para sa pagkakaloob ng bonus.
Winika ni Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman na ang bonus ay ‘small token’ kumpara sa araw-araw na sakripisyo ng tinatawag na “men and women of the police force”, na nahaharap sa panganib at walang pag-aalinlangan na panatilihing ligtas ang publiko.
“Our police officers are among the pillars of our nation. They stand at the frontlines of peace and order every single day. We see their hard work and dedication, so we are making sure they receive what is rightfully due to them,” ang sinabi ni Pangandaman.
Aniya pa, ang pinakahihintay na insentibo ay makapagbibigay ginhawa sa mga pamilya ng mga police officers, tumulong na palakasin ang kanilang household budgets, bayaran ang tuition ng kanilang mga anak at para sa kanilang daily necessities.
“Through this release, we not only recognize their service but also reaffirm our commitment to a government that rewards performance and accountability,” ayon pa rin sa Kalihim. ( Daris Jose)
