Cyber-libel Complaint vs Rep. Barzaga ukol sa Bribery Post

NAGHAIN si Deputy Speaker Ronaldo “Ronnie” Puno ng criminal complaint for cyber-libel laban kay Cavite Representative Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga sa Office of the City Prosecutor sa Antipolo.

Ito ay kasunod ng January 9, 2026 Facebook post na nag-aakusa sa mga NUP congressmen na tumanggap umano ng suhol mula kay Enrique Razon sa ilang gatherings sa Solaire bago ang 2025 elections kapalit ng pagsuporta kay Speaker Martin Romualdez.

Sinabi sa naturang reklamo na ang post ay isang retaliation laban kina Puno at iba pang NUP members na una ng nagsampa ng reklamo sa ethics committee kontra sa batang kongresista.

“Actions have consequences, especially when they are malicious and clearly intended to destroy reputations without any basis. You cannot casually accuse someone of a crime, broadcast it to millions, and expect to hide behind social media antics. We will pursue full accountability under the law,” pahayag ni Puno.

Sinabi pa ni Puno na hindi protektado ang post ni Barzaga ng parliamentary immunity, dahil ang cyber-libel ay may parusang lagpas sa anim na taong pagkakakulong.

Mariin din nitong itinanggi na tumanggap siya ng suhol mula kay Enrique Razon o kahit sinumang tao.
