Congressional briefing, kailangang maisagawa hinggil sa lumalalang sitwasyon sa Gitnang Silangan, panawagan

NANAWAGAN si House Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” A. Marcos ng Ilocos Norte na magsagawa ng congressional briefing hinggil sa lumalalang sitwasyon sa Gitnang Silangan.

Ayon kay Marcos, kailangan maisagawa ang congressional briefing upang ma-monitor ang sitwasyon ng mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) sa Middle East at tiyakin ang kanilang kaligtasan.

Sinabi ni Marcos na inatasan ni Speaker Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III and House Committees on Foreign Affairs at Overseas Workers Affairs na magsagawa ng joint briefing sa Miyerkoles, Marso 11, 2026, upang makapagbigay ng updated assessment sa Middle East situation at mga hakbang ng Philippine government na tulungan ang mga Pilipino na naipit sa sigalot.

“With a significant number of Filipinos working across the Middle East, it is important that we stay ahead of developments and ensure that the necessary support mechanisms are in place,” pahayag ni Marcos .
“The House wants to receive a full briefing on the situation on the ground and on the readiness of our agencies to assist our nationals should conditions require government intervention,” dagdag ng kongresista.
Ayon kay Marcos, kabilang sa mga iimbitahan sa gagawing congressional briefing ay mga mga kinatawan at opisyal ng Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Migrant Workers, at ibang mga ahensiya ng gobyerno na tumutulong sa assistance, evacuation, o maaring repatriation.
“Our overseas Filipino workers play a vital role in supporting millions of Filipino families and contributing to the country’s economic stability,” sinabi ni Marcos.
“At a time of uncertainty in the region, it is important that government remains fully prepared to protect their welfare and provide assistance when needed.”
