Bagong posisyon na inialok kay Gen. Torre, kinumpirma ng Malakanyang

KINUMPIRMA ng Malakanyang na may inialok na bagong posisyon para kay dating Philippine National Police chief Police General Nicolas Torre III na sinibak kamakailan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., sa puwesto.Iyon nga lamang ay tumanggi si Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary at Palace Press Officer Claire Castro na ihayag kung ano ang government post na inialok kay Gen. Torre at kung Cabinet rank ito.
”Confirm po na may inaalok na posisyon,” ayon kay Castro.
Nauna rito, sinabi ni Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla na kinokonsidera ni Pangulong Marcos na ilagay si Torre sa isang government position kasunod ng biglaang pagsibak sa kanya bilang hepe ng national police.
“I was privy to a conversation that the President is considering him for another post in government,” ayon kay Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla, araw ng Martes, sa isang press conference.
“We will know soon if General Torre will accept,” aniya pa rin.
