Agarang pagpapalabas ng tulong, mamadaliin ng DSWD

BIBILISAN na ng  Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) na bibilisan ang pagpapalabas ng tulong para sa mga pamilya at indibidwal na nangangailangan ng agarang suporta sa ilalim ng  Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.

Gagamitin ng departamento ang kanilang updated guidelines para rito.

Ni-review at binago kasi ng Crisis Intervention Division ang umiiral na guidelines upang masiguro ang “mabilis at mas epektibong  “delivery of assistance”  kaya naman mas maraming bilang ng mga benepisaryo ang makikinabang.

Sa pamamagitan ng kamakailan lamang na ipinalabas na Memorandum Circular No. 15, “the DSWD streamlined the implementing procedure; simplified the intake and eligibility forms and documentary requirements and lengthened its validity; and adjusted the rates of assistance and the corresponding approving authorities at the Central Office and Field and Satellite Offices.”

Sa bagong guidelines, nakasaad dito na isang kliyente ay sasailalim sa 3 hakbang ng kahit na anumang serbisyo at interbensyon sa ilalim ng AICS Program — screening kung saan ang kliyente ay kailangan na magpakita ng documentary requirements na iko- cross-matched sa database; interview ng  social worker upang madetermina ang tamang tulong at paano iki-claim ang tulong.

“The goal is to avoid the long lines and hours of wait by our clients as if they are at our mercy just to get the simple medical request for assistance or burial and other needs,” ayon Kay DSWD Secretary Erwin Tulfo.

Para sa  financial assistance na mababa sa  P10,000, sinabi ng Kalihim na ang pagpapalabas ng pera ay maaaring i-proseso sa loob ng isang araw.

“For higher amounts, the assistance will be through a guarantee letter, unless other modes are necessary as may be justified by the social worker,” ayon sa DSWD. (Daris Jose)
