After nang tatlong best actress para sa ’The Substance’: DEMI MOORE, lumaki ang chance na makamit ang first Oscar award

MUKHANG lumaki ang chance ni Demi Moore na manalo ng kanyang first Oscar award after niyang manalo bilang best actress sa Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

Nanalo din ang 61-year old Hollywood veteran ng Golden Globe at Critics Choice Award para sa pelikulang ‘The Substance.’

Gulat si Demi nang tawagin ang name niya dahil mahuhusay ang lahat ng mga nakalaban niya sa best actress category.

“This is extraordinary and so deeply meaningful. I was thinking about this night and I realized I hadn’t thought back to when I got my membership to this incredible organization. It was in 1978. I was 15, almost 16. It changed my life because it gave me meaning.

“It gave me purpose. It gave direction. I was a kid on my own who had no blueprint for life. I knew nothing about acting, but I watched and I listened and I learned from all of you. You have all been my greatest teachers.,” sey ni Demi sa kanyang acceptance speech.

Si Timothee Chalamet naman ang nagwagi bilang SAG Best Actor for ‘A Complete Unknown’ na tungkol sa buhay ng American singer-songwriter na si Bob Dylan.  

“The truth is, I’m really in pursuit of greatness. I know people don’t usually talk like that. I want to be one of the greats. I’m inspired by the greats, inspired by the greats here tonight. “I’m as inspired by Daniel Day-Lewis, Marlon Brando and Viola Davis as I am by Michael Jordan, Michael Phelps — and I want to be up there. So I’m deeply grateful. This doesn’t signify that. It’s a little more fuel. It’s a little more ammo to keep going,” sey ng aktor.

Ang iba pang SAG winners ay sina Kieran Culkin, Zoe Saldana, Colin Farrell, Jennifer Gunning, Martin Short, Jean Smart, Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, ‘Only Murders in the Building’ at ‘Shogun’. 

Si Jane Fonda ang recipient ng SAG Life Achievement Award.
