Administrasyong Marcos, looking forward na makatrabaho si bagong House Speaker Dy

LOOKING forward ang administrasyong Marcos na makatrabaho si newly-installed Speaker Faustino Dy III, kasunod ng pagbibitiw ni Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez bilang lider ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso.

“The President recognizes the vital role of the House of Representatives, especially at a time when the public demands visible results and Congress is called upon to take active steps that address people’s concerns and deliver real improvements in daily life,” ang nakasaad sa kalatas ng Malakanyang.

Sinabi ng Malakanyang na ginagalang nito ang kalayaan ng Kongreso at “acknowledges the contributions of former Speaker Martin Romualdez.”

“We now look forward to working with Speaker Faustino Dy III to advance measures that strengthen the economy, ensure basic services, and protect our democracy,” ang sinabi ng Malakanyang.

Sa kabilang dako, tiniyak naman ng Malakanyang sa publiko na ang administrasyon ay nananatiling committed sa “constructive collaboration with all lawmakers to keep the focus on the needs of Filipino families and move the nation forward.”

Nauna rito, nagbitiw na sa kanyang pwesto bilang House Speaker si Marcos Jr. at House Speaker Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, ngayong Miyerkules ika-17 ng Setyembre.

Sinabi ni Romuladez na ang kanyang desisyon ay sinadya upang payagan “full accountability and transparency” sa gitna ng nagpapatuloy na imbestigasyon kaugnay sa di umano’y anomalya sa flood control projects.

“Today, with a full heart and a clear conscience, I tender my resignation as Speaker of the House of Representatives. I do this so that the Independent Commission on Infrastructure may pursue its mandate freely and fully — without doubt, without interference, and without undue influence,” ang sinabi ni Romualdez.

Samantala, sinabi ni Antipolo City 1st District Rep. Ronaldo Puno na nagpatawag ng pulong si Romualdez kahapon, araw ng Martes, upang ipaalam ang plano nitong pagbibitiw bilang House Speaker kung saan inirekomenda niya si Isabela 6th District Representative Faustino “Bojie” Dy III bilang papalit sa kaniyang posisyon.

Ang pagpapalit ng liderato ng Kamara ay nag-ugat umano sa kontrobersya ng maanomalyang flood control projects sa bansa.

Batay sa mga ulat, pinayagan na ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ang posibleng pagbaba sa pwesto ng kaniyang pinsan matapos ang naging pulong ng dalawa sa Malakanyang.
