P350,000 tax-free income bill, inihain

INIHAIN nina House Majority Leader Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos at Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III nitong Martes ang House Bill (HB) No. 10345, sang-ayon sa panukalang tax relief ni Presidente Bongbong Marcos sa kanyang ika-limang State of the Nation Address (SONA).

“President Marcos SONA placed tax relief where families will feel it, in the pay they bring home after every cutoff, and Speaker Bojie Dy has made sure the House responds with a bill rather than applause alone. Raising the tax-free ceiling to P350,000 gives workers more room for food, tuition, medicine and the bills that do not wait,” ani Marcos.

Isinusulong ng panukala na amyendahan ang Section 24 ng National Internal Revenue Code.

Sa ilalim ng TRAIN law, ang mga indibidwal na may taunang taxable income na hindi lalagpas sa P250,000 ang exempted sa income tax simula 2018.

Itataas ng HB 10345 ang exemption ng P100,000, o taunang annual taxable income na hindi lalagpas sa P350,000.

Itinakda naman sa 15% ang rate para sa taxable income na mataas sa P350,000 ngunit hindi lalagpas sa P400,000. Para naman sa income na mahigit sa P400,000, nanatili ito sa kasalukuyang base taxes.
