“Welcome to the bloodbath” -House prosecutor Rep. Terry Ridon

ITO ang naging tugon ni House prosecutor Rep. Terry Ridon ng Bicol Saro party list sa pahayag ni Vice President Sara Duterte na sumipot sa Senado ilang oras bago magsimula ang pangalawang araw ng impeachment trial.

Sa isang maikling press conference, sinabi ni Duterte na “in this bloodbath and bludgeoning, I will be bloodied but unbowed.” 

Kaagad tumayo palabas si Duterte at hindi na sumagot sa mga katanungan ng mga reporters. Hindi rin sinagot ni Duterte kung dadalo siya sa impeachment trial.

Hinamon ni Ridon si Duterte na dumalo sa kanyang paglilitis. “Welcome to the bloodbath madam Vice President but you cannot have a bloodbath through proxies dumalo po tayo sa paglilitis, harapin natin ang katotohanan,” sinabi ng kongresista.

Ayon naman kay ACT Teachers party-list Rep. Antonio Tinio, nagpapa-biktima lamang si Duterte.

“Gusto niyang palabasin na siya ang inaaping biktima ng pamumulitika sa impeachment trial. Hindi bagay. Hindi kapani-paniwala. Siya ang bully na nambibiktima sa sambayanang Pilipino,” ani Tinio.

Binansagan ni Tinio na bully si Duterte. 

“She’s the bully who hires an assassin to kill her political enemies, misspends public funds, and accumulates hidden wealth. She considers impunity an entitlement and belittles her obligation to account for her actions by refusing to personally appear before the impeachment court to make her case to the public.” (Vina de Guzman)
