Suhestiyon ng mambabatas na magtakda ng scheduled power switch offs kahalintulad ng Earth Hour

UPANG maiwasan ang power blackouts at manipis na electricity reserves ngayong Abril at Mayo, isinuwestiyon ng isang mambabatas na magtakda ng scheduled power switch offs kahalintulad ng Earth Hour.

Ayon kay Manila Rep. Rolando Valeriano, tinatayang nasa 145 megawatts ng enerhiya ang natipid nitong nakalipas na Earth Hour noong Sabado.

“Tactical energy savings like this helps us avoid using power barges that consume bunker fuel. Switching to electric vehicles can be hastened in April with the fast-tracked regulatory approvals of new fleets of e-taxis by both the LTFRB and LTO,” ani Valeriano.

Dapat ding bilisan ang pagpapalabas ng imported e-vehicles mula sa Customs.

“The more electric vehicles on our roads, the more vehicle fuels saved. To keep current fleets of e-jeepneys on the roads, I suggest adding government subsidies and debt restructuring,” dagdag nito.

Isinuwestiyon din nito na ang bayarin sa vehicle loans ng TNVS operators ay dapat na ipagpaliban ng tatlong buwan at gawing installments ang naturang bayarin.
