House Committee on Justice, tatalakayin ang apat na impeachment complaint kay VP Sara Duterte

NAKATAKDANG talakayin ng House Committee on Justice ang apat na impeachment complaint laban kay Bise Presidente Sara Duterte sa Lunes, March 2.
Ito ang naging pahayag ni
Batangas Rep. Gerville Luistro nitong Martes, matapos na pormal na i-refer ang mga beripekadong reklamo nitong Lunes sa Committee on Justice para maisama sa Order of Business ng Kamara.
“We are considering to start the deliberation of the Justice Committee on March 2, March 3, and March 4. That is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, at least for the purpose of determining sufficiency in form and substance,” sinabi ni Luistro sa panayam ng mga reporters.
“Of course, we cannot start this week as much as we wanted to take action right away because the Justice Committee needs to reproduce the [copy of the complaints and provide copies to all the members of the Justice Committee,” dagdag ni Luistro.
Kabilang sa mga alegasyon ang umano’y maling paggamit ng confidential funds ng Office of the Vice President at Department of Education (DepEd); mga alegas­yon ni Ramil Madriaga, ­dating aide ni VP Sara; umano’y ill-gotten wealth; kabiguang ilahad ang Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Networth (SALN); at ang banta ng Bise Presidente kina Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos at dating Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.
Mayroong 60 araw ang Justice committee para magsagawa ng mga pagdinig. Matapos nito ay pagbobotohan ng plenaryo ang rekomendas­yon ng komite at kaila­ngang makakuha ng hindi bababa sa one-third ng kabuuang miyembro ng Kamara para maipadala sa Senado ang Articles of Impeachment.
Ang unang impeachment complaint ay inihain noong Pebrero 2 ng Makabayan bloc ng mga mambabatas. Kasabay din na naghain ang mga progresibong organisasyon at civil society groups ng ikalawang impeachment complaint na inendorso naman nina Mamamayang Liberal Partylist Rep. Leila de Lima at Akbayan Partylist Rep. Perci Cendaña.
Noong Pebrero 9, naghain ang mga religious groups, mga pari, madre, civil society at mga ­abogado ng ikatlong impeachment na inendorso rin ni De Lima.
Habang ang ikaapat na reklamo ay inihain ni Atty. Nathaniel Cabrera na inendorso naman nila Manila Rep. Bienvenido “Benny” Abante Jr. at Deputy Speaker Francisco Paolo Ortega V.
Nakasaad dito ang culpable violation of the Constitution, betrayal of public trust, graft and corruption, at iba pang high crimes.
