Mga kontratista na nasa likod ng ‘ghost projects’, magiging ‘blacklisted for life’- Dizon

MAGIGING ‘blacklisted for life’ ang mga kontratista na mapatutunayang sangkot sa ghost projects.

Ito ang tiniyak ni DPWH Secretary Vince Dizon matapos na humingi ng permiso kay Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. na pagbabawalan na niya magpakailanman at tuluyang iba-blacklist ang mga pribadong kompanya na mapatutunayang sangkot sa illegal government projects.

“…These ghost projects and substandard projects, I have also cleared it with our President that the contractors of these ghost projects, first of all, I will impose a lifetime blacklisting, ban, immediately,” ang sinabi ng Kalihim.

Idinagdag pa ni Dizon na wala nang gagawing imbestigasyon laban sa mga mga huwad na kontratista, kapag napatunayan na sangkot sila sa ilegal na aktibidad.

“When a project of a contractor is (a) ghost (project) or proven to be substandard, there is no more process, no more investigation, that contractor is automatically blacklisted for life,” anito.

Iniulat din ni Dizon na nakatakdang bumuo si Pangulong Marcos ng isang independent body na magi-imbestiga sa mga ilegal na proyekto na may kaugnayan sa isinasagawang flood control.

“And of course, there is also an associated case, and we will forward everything we get to the independent commission that our President will establish,” ang pahayag ni Dizon.

“They will investigate and file appropriate cases against DPWH staff, contractors and others involved in these projects that were really ‘thrown into the river,’ to use the words of our President,” aniya pa rin.

Araw ng Lunes, Setyembre 1, nanumpa sa kanyang tungkulin bilang bagong DPWH Secretary si Dizon, sa harap ni Pangulong Marcos. Pinalitan niya si Manuel Bonoan na nagbitiw sa kanyang posisyon, araw ng Linggo.

Bago pa ang kanyang bagong posisyon bilang DPWH Secretary, pinamunuan ni Dizon ang Department of Transportation sa loob ng anim na buwan. ( Daris Jose)
