Marcial, Magsayo bumida sa undercard

IWINAGAYWAY nina dating World Boxing Council (WBC) featherweight champion Mark Magsayo at Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist Eumir Marcial ang bandila ng Pilipinas matapos kumana ng impresibong panalo sa kani-kanilang laban kahapon sa MGM Grand Garden Arena sa Las Vegas, Nevada.

Umarangkada ng husto si Magsayo para makuha ang unanimous decision win laban kay Mexican Jorge Mata sa undercard.

Inilatag ni Magsayo ang buong puwersa nito sa buong panahon ng laban upang makuha ang impresibong scores na 100-90, 100-90 at 98-92 mula sa tatlong hurado.

“Hats off to Jorge Mata he is a tough fighter thank you that we gave a great show to the boxing fans tonight. Big thank you to my team for all the improvements you made to me I owe it to all of you,” ani Magsayo.

Dahil sa panalo naibulsa ni Magsayo may record na 28-2 tampok ang 18 KOs,  ang WBC Continental Americas super featherweight belt.

Sa kabilang banda, matikas din ang ratsada ni Marcial na halos hindi na pinagpawisan nang pabagsakin nito si American Bernard Joseph via third-round technical knockout upang mapanatiling malinis ang rekord nito.

“First and foremost, I want to thank our Almighty God for the strength He gave me throughout this entire journey leading up to the fight, and for the protection He extended—not only to me but to all my fellow boxers who shared the ring on the same card,” ani Marcial sa kanyang post sa social media.

Mainit na sinimiulan ni Marcial ang laban nang magpakawala agad ito ng matata­lim na suntok.
